About the home
“Oceanfront Escape Kilcunda” is a delightful single-storey family home in Kilcunda just 100m from the beach, a short walk from the Kilcunda General Store & pub, and a comfortable drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of San Remo. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The large open plan Kitchen (with WIP that doubles as a Laundry with washing machine) blends into the Dining/Living Room (with 48" TV and Chromecast) has stunning views out to the ocean, and flows through to the front covered Verandah. At the front of the home, Bedroom 1 also has fantastic views and features BIR and an ensuite (with shower, separate toilet, double vanity & heat lamps). A small side hall leads from the Kitchen to Bedroom 2 and 3 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with shower over a bath) and a separate Toilet. The rear covered Alfresco is also accessed from the Kitchen.
Outdoor Areas
The front covered Verandah affords fantastic water views and is the perfect place to relax, overlooking the enclosed block (perfect for children). There is also a small firepit (wood not provided) in the front yard. The rear covered Alfresco (with gas BBQ and seating for 8 pax) provides another private space to entertain. The Garage is not available for guests however there is space for up to 4 vehicles (cars and/or boats) in the long driveway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Delonghi Nespresso coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and 5-burner gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the one; one in the Kitchen/Dining/Living room and the other in Bedroom 1, ceiling fans in Bedrooms 2 and 3, plus two additional stand-alone heaters which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds, and 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 10 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Two Single beds and two Single trundle beds
Bedroom 3: One Queen bed
There is also a Double sofa bed in the Living Room suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
