About this property
Koru View on McBride
About this space
With four bedrooms and two bathrooms spread across two generous levels, the home offers a relaxed, lived-in feel rather than a sterile holiday house. Thoughtfully designed living spaces open out to a private, well-established garden, while upstairs living areas enjoy stunning lake and mountain outlooks — perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.
The space
This is a comfortable, well-equipped home designed for easy holiday living. Located in Frankton, it offers the convenience of nearby shops, cafés and ski access while remaining tucked away and private. Whether you’re heading up the mountain, shopping at Queenstown Central or enjoying the lakeside, everything is close at hand.
Downstairs is centred around a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, creating a natural hub for cooking, dining and relaxing together. Large doors connect the living space to the outdoor areas and garden. Also on this level are three bedrooms, a shared high-end bathroom, a separate toilet and a laundry.
The upper level takes full advantage of the outlook, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the lake and surrounding mountains. Here you’ll find the master bedroom with ensuite, a second lounge for quiet evenings or movie nights, and a small study nook.
The home is kept warm and comfortable throughout the year with diesel hydronic central heating, along with a Bosca wood burner that adds to the cosy alpine atmosphere during winter stays.
A custom steel and rimu staircase connects the two levels and is a striking architectural feature, though it is not suitable for toddlers.
The property sits beneath the flight path, and aircraft noise can be heard between 7am and 10pm. During the colder months, when windows and doors are closed, this is barely noticeable.
Guest access
Entry is via a lockbox located at the property, with details provided prior to arrival.
Guests have full and exclusive use of the entire house.
Parking is available on the driveway and inside the garage. Guests are welcome to use the side garage door for access and to utilise the rear entry space for coats and shoes.
Other things to note
This home is not suitable for toddlers. The staircase is not toddler-friendly, and there is no fire guard supplied for the wood burner.
