Summary:
The Space
Step inside and the soaring A-frame ceiling of the great room sets the tone immediately. Warm pine walls and exposed timber beams frame a generous living space anchored by a stone fireplace — guarded, naturally, by the property’s beloved bronze dog statue, stick in mouth, standing faithful watch on the hearth. A large flat-screen TV and plush seating invite you to linger, and the open layout flows naturally into the dining area and a fully equipped kitchen outfitted with bold red cabinetry, a generous butcher block breakfast bar, and everything you need for a real home-cooked meal. That framed Laurel Falls print on the wall? A little nod to the trails that await just down the road.
One king bedroom, one queen bedroom, and one full/queen loft bedroom each offer their own sense of warmth and privacy.
The king bedroom on the lower level is a genuine retreat — spacious enough for two chairs, with crisp linens and a private TV.
A full/queen bed nestles into the loft level with its iconic A-frame roofline sloping overhead and a wall-mounted split unit for year-round comfort.
The queen bedroom on the main floor carries the same cozy mountain character, with warm pine walls, floral nightstand lamps, and its own sliding door to the outside.
Downstairs, the game room is pure fun. A full-size pool table anchors the space, a stone fireplace adds warmth, and a classic Ms. Pac-Man arcade table promises more than a few rematches. The “Game On” wall art says it all.
When the games wind down, head out to the covered deck where a private hot tub overlooks the trees. A fire pit with Adirondack chairs is ready for s’mores and slow conversations.
Up in the loft, a thoughtfully appointed workspace with a laptop friendly desk and vintage ski décor on the wall offers a quiet nook for anyone who needs to catch up on a few things — or simply wants a perch to take in the property.

The Ski Bear cabin was so comfortable! It was me and 3 teenagers and 1 pre teen and we all had the best time! The downstairs shower, the hot tub and the pool table were worth every penny. Anything I reached out to the owners for, it was addressed immediately which is all I can ask for. I would definitely recommend to my people.

Thank you so much! We are so thrilled to hear that Ski Bear Chalet was such a hit for you and your crew! A comfortable home where you and four teenagers and a preteen all had the best time, the downstairs shower, the hot tub, and the pool table making it all worth every penny -- that is exactly the kind of stay we love to provide! It also means so much to hear that every time you reached out our team was right there to take care of things immediately. That is exactly the standard we hold ourselves to!
We would love to welcome you and your group back, whether at Ski Bear Chalet or one of our other cabins, the next time the Smokies are calling your name. We hope to see you back in Gatlinburg very soon!
We truly enjoyed our stay. The house was just as described and seemed well maintained with some recent improvements. The communication with the host was always prompt, and the instructions for access were accurate. The front door sticks a bit along the bottom, so some pressing with my foot was needed to open it. The inside was very roomy and extremely clean. The kitchen was well equipped (could use a dish drying rack, though). There were little extra touches throughout the house that made us feel special - mesh bags with the dish soap and dishwasher tablets in the kitchen; mesh bags with shampoo and body wash in each bathroom; towels folded into a bow in the bathrooms and kitchen - similar to being on a cruise. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. in the house. The beds were very comfortable with no shortage of pillows. The shower in the master suite was fantastic. Our son, daughter-in-law, and two grandkids joined us for two of our three days in the house. There was plenty of room, plenty of dishes, sitting space, and bathrooms. The grandchildren really enjoyed the pool at one of the clubhouses (very short drive away). We had one small issue during our stay that the management company addressed quickly and effectively with only one phone call. The staff at the management office were very nice as we checked out, dropping off the pool pass and just touching base about our stay. We would stay here again.

Thank you so much, Kenneth! We are so thrilled to hear that Ski Bear Chalet delivered such a wonderful experience for you and your family! Knowing that the home felt well maintained, spotlessly clean, and just as described means so much to us, and we are so glad the little extra touches throughout the cabin made you feel special -- that is exactly the kind of hospitality we love to provide!
It also means the world to hear that communication was prompt, that our team was able to address your issue quickly and effectively, and that the staff at the office made your checkout a warm and personal experience. We will be sure to pass along your kind words to the team!
We also appreciate you mentioning the front door and the dish drying rack -- feedback like that is genuinely helpful and we will make sure to pass it along so we can continue to improve.
We would love to welcome you, your son, daughter-in-law, and those grandkids back -- whether at Ski Bear Chalet or one of our other cabins -- the next time the Smokies are calling your name. We hope to see you back in Gatlinburg very soon, Kenneth!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
The house it's self is ok, nice on the inside except for bugs. The outside a different story the porch railing was not attached at all the posts so only maybe half are fastined to porch. Upstairs balcony is missing posts so any child would go through or dog. Kitchen sink has no hot water. The ice maker in the fridge if you look where the ice comes out it's black with mold.
