Paradise Beach Cottage - across the road to Ligar Bay Beach

Nigel & Amy are hardworking Christchurch based Kiwis who are permanently dreaming of the beach and counting down to our next escape to the bay.

Nigel is a landscaper and all-round fixer-of-everything, which means if it grows, breaks, leaks, or needs a bit of Kiwi ingenuity, he’s your guy. He also keeps our preschool running smoothly behind the scenes. Amy runs the preschool (fuelled by coffee) and somehow also manages an online dog accessories business on the side.

We’ve raised four kids who are now all grown up — proof we survived 😅 — and these days our household includes two bossy French Bulldogs and one very chilled pug 🐾.

This house is our happy place. It’s where shoes come off, time slows down, and beach walks, salty air, and relaxed bay living take over. The vibe here is easy, comfortable, and all about switching off and enjoying being by the water.

We wish we could be here more often, but we love sharing our little slice of paradise and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Make yourself at home, relax, and soak up the bay life.
