About this property

Beachaven - REAR Cottage with Free Kayaks and unlimited Wifi.

We have two cottages with two bedrooms each. The photos and booking calendar on this listing are for the REAR cottage. For the other cottage please refer to listing #20019167.

Stroll on the beach, swim, kayak, listen to the waves and just chill on the gorgeous beach only a few steps across the road. Paddle the beautifully clear water around the stunning coastline to Tata Beach, Tarakohe Harbour and the sheltered lagoon. You are likely to see seals.

LINEN AND CLEANING are optional extras.
Linen is $50 for a queen or king width bed, $25 per single bed.
Cleaning is $95 otherwise please leave it cleaned as you found it.

Fully self contained with:
- 48" Smart TV with HDMI cable
- Washing machine, heat pump, full oven and dishwasher
- Carport and extra parking space for a second car or small boat.

The Cottages are separated by a carport and lawn area. They are not attached and are private from each other.

Grocery Store, great Cafe's, Restaurants and Golf are a short drive to Pohara. A 15 minute drive takes you to the northen end of Abel Tasman National Park, Mountain Bike Tracks, or to the supermarket and shopping in Takaka.

We have an extensive information folder in the cottage describing walks, bike rides, children's activities plus travel times.

The cottage is a comfortable, functional New Zealand holiday home. It's not a grand house but it is clean, warm and cozy. Bring all that you need for your stay. Minimal basic supplies are provided to get you started.

Golden Bay has many other beautiful places to visit. Nearby are Wainui Falls, Taupo Point, Waikoropupu Springs, Anatoki Salmon Farm, Rawhiti Caves, Abel Tasman National Park. Further travel to Farewell Spit, Wharareki Beach, Langford Historic Store, walks, bike rides, explore local arts, crafts and cafe's.

No tents, campervans or caravans to be parked on the property please.

I loved at how straightforward this place was. It is fuss free, but contains all the necessities you will need. I also love how they allow the tenant to do the cleaning (which is clearly outlined, and easy to do). Thanks so much to the owners.

Thankyou. To help keep tariffs lower, cleaning and linen are optional extras. It is straight forward and easy to clean but always checked and set up between stays.

Bliss in heaven. Because we were mid week it was incredibly quiet and very dark at night. The perfect stay to relax and recharge. Walking the beach, quick drive to Wainui Falls and in full roar. Quiet seaside break

We had the rear cottage which doesn’t have as good a view as the front but was well away from traffic and passers by so very private. Comfortable bed, clean well equipped kitchen, good wifi. Although typical for NZ holiday cottages, overseas visitors need to know there’s no hairdryer, face cloths, or washing machine powder. Very handy to have the machine though, and undercover hanging area for laundry. Dishwasher takes 2.5 hours for a load. Overall very comfortable quiet spot, and 10-15 mins drive from Takaka with a good range of cafes and shops. Lovely nook of the country.

Warm, tidy and beautiful location

Quick access to the beach and a short walk to the Abel Tasman memorial. The property is excellent quality, the best bach I've stayed in thus far (especially in this price range). The back bach doesn't have as great a view, but you could definitely see the ocean. There was a gale blew through while we were there, but the sheltered location felt perfectly save to ride out the storm.

We have owned and rented Beachaven Cottages for over 20 years.

I have lived in Nelson most of my life and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. I'm a keen hiker and mountain biker so I can advise you on most of the tracks, National Parks and places to visit.

Why they chose this property

Beachaven Cottages are virtually beachfront. Just across the road is the beach and a reserve with wood fueled BBQ's. This makes it so easy to transport the kayaks, picnic, swim and enjoy the fabulous sunsets.

The beach is probably the calmest and most sheltered in Golden Bay. It is one of the few with Golden sand which makes for clear water. You'll love it.

What makes this property unique

The Cottages have all day sun and a mild winter climate. However on cold days there is a heat pump for efficient easy heating.

The location to Ligar Bay beach has to be the best feature. Tata Beach, Wainui Falls and Abel Tasman National Park are a short drive. Enjoy.
