About the host
Hosted by Jay Mothersill
We're Jay Mothersill and Mey Cruz Gonzalez - adventurous, spirited outdoor enthusiasts with a passion for exploring. Our lives revolve around camping, hiking, kayaking, canoeing and biking. With backgrounds in the tourism and adventure travel industry, we've run tours in multiple countries, sharing the thrill of discovery with others.
Mey, originally from Cuba, and I, born and raised in Muskoka Ontario. met on an adventure trip and instantly clicked. After getting married, Mey moved to Canada where we continued to explore this great country together. In 2025, during a road trip in our converted Van, we stopped at the Mayo Cottage - and instantly fell in love. Owning it felt like the perfect chapter, and we hope our guests fall in love with it just as we did.
