They could have knocked it down. Instead they brought her back to life. The Pink Door is a renovated two storey beach house sitting absolute beachfront on Moreton Bay. Open the back gate — you're on the sand. Three bedrooms, sleeps six. Hear the ocean from the kitchen, feel the spray on the windows. Coconut tree, hammock, day beds, herb garden and a pink shed with stories to tell. Nothing like it.
The Space:
The Pink Door is a fully renovated two storey beach house that wears its history proudly. Original doors, pops of colour, a coconut tree out the back that actually grows coconuts, and a little pink shed so weathered the trees are practically growing through the roof. This is what a Redcliffe beach house looked like — and this one got a second chance.
Inside is fresh, light and comfortable with everything you need. Upstairs is the open plan kitchen, living and dining area overlooking the bay. You'll hear the ocean from the kitchen and wake up to the sound of the water every morning. On a good day you'll feel the spray on the windows. Three bedrooms, one full bathroom with shower and toilet, plus a separate half bathroom with toilet only — so six people never feel crowded.
Downstairs opens straight out to the back deck and outdoor area. There's a study nook with a view of the water — a quiet spot to sit with a coffee or get a few things done.
Outside is where it all comes together. Hose your feet on the grass, rinse under the hot and cold outdoor shower, then you're in. Two day beds, a hammock, a herb garden, a coconut tree and a back gate that opens straight to the sand. Moreton Island sits on the horizon. The bay is calm, flat and made for swimming.
Quirky, characterful and absolute beachfront. There is nothing quite like The Pink Door on the Redcliffe Peninsula.
Guest Access:
The whole house is yours — all three bedrooms, both floors, the back deck, herb garden, hammock, day beds and direct beach access through the back gate. Pull into the carport on arrival — please don't park on the laneway. Two cars fit tandem. Your lockbox code will be sent before arrival.
The Neighborhood:
Scarborough sits right on the edge of Redcliffe — one of those places people discover and immediately start telling their friends about. The Pink Door is part of that original story. This stretch of waterfront is what drew people to Redcliffe in the first place.
Redcliffe's cafes, restaurants and the famous Jetty Markets are five minutes on foot. The coastal walking track starts right at your back gate.
Moreton Island sits on the horizon — hire a boat, book a private tour or grab a water taxi across for the day. Between June and November the whale watching off Redcliffe is world class — ask us for the best operators.
Brisbane CBD is forty minutes by car or train from Kippa-Ring station. The airport is thirty minutes.
Getting Around:
The beach, cafes and coastal walk are all on foot from the house. For everything else you'll want a car — parking is easy with the carport onsite. Please do not park on the laneway. Kippa-Ring train station connects you to Brisbane CBD in under forty minutes.
Other Things to Note:
This is a calm swimming bay — not a surf beach. Flat, safe water perfect for swimming and floating around. Moreton Island turns gold every evening at sunset and the view never gets old.
Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Wake up to it too. You'll hear it, and on a breezy day you'll see it on the windows.
We provide six beach towels — bring extras if you need them.
The Pink Door has personality — original features, quirky touches and a pink shed that's seen better days but has stories to tell. If you're after cookie cutter, this isn't it. If you want character, a coconut tree and a gate to the beach — welcome home.
If bin day falls during your stay we'll let you know and just ask that you roll the bins to the kerb.
Maximum six guests. No parties or events. Quiet after 10pm. Always latch the back gate — the bay breeze will blow it open if you don't.
