About this property

Dolphin Bay Cottage - Beautiful rare beachfront cottage

Hello and a very warm welcome,

My name is Stephen and, together with my sister; Lee-Anne, we host our delightful beachfront cottage - which has been owned and treasured by our family for over 45 years.

Our cottage is located right on the beachfront row of pristine Penneshaw Beach on Kangaroo Island. Relax and enjoy uninterrupted ocean views, or watch the dolphins frolic in the waves.

The cottage has been renovated with a modern beach-front style and also extended with the addition of a large master (3rd) bedroom).

Our cottage has three bedrooms (Queen, double and single).

The Queen Master Bedroom (Bedroom number 3) is a new spacious addition, with built-in wardrobes, and floor to ceiling glass window panes with prime beach/bay views.

Bedrooms 1 and 2, have been renovated and now also include built-in wardrobes. Note, these two bedrooms remain original sizing and hence are substantially more compact.

Kitchen and living areas have been fully renovated and are open plan layout.

Bathroom is located directly off the main living areas. Original in size and still undergoing gradual renovation, the bathroom consists of shower, toilet and vanity. Our bathroom is clean, tidy and very presentable.

Front and rear verandahs.

Lawn/grassed area at the front that precedes the beach frontage.

This property is prime beach frontage, located directly on Frenchmans Terrace.
Note: Please check property suitability if you have young children - the property is not fenced.

Incredible views of the beautiful Penneshaw beach

The property could not be any closer to the beach. Its nice and quiet street so I felt comfortable for kids to cross and play on the sand. The property was clean and comfortable and well equipped kitchen. It is a cottage so good value for money.

Great beachfront location. Comfortable place to stay.

No laundry facilities with this property. Whilst there is a laundromat 2km away we felt that for the accommodation fees we paid ( Stayed 2 weeks) that a washing machine should be available.
