For the cost of the property, unfortunately the photos were very misleading. We didn’t bring chairs to sit by the fire since they advertised some. All chairs were broken in a pile. The fridge freezer was leaking, once contacted after they left, they said they were aware but didn’t see the need to tell us while there. Soap bars left in the sink had hair on them. The cottage itself smells of mold. I’ve had to wash my belongings twice, and need to replace our pillows. One pot with no lid, the toaster did not work and each time I used the microwave for my kids it sparked. Very few utensils for cooking. They provided my husband with the boat launch code late after advising it would be in the check In Instructions and it ended up costing him 40 at the marina. When trying to communicate before check in, I heard nothing back. Overall I didn’t think it was a very good experience. The area itself is very beautiful, fully understand it’s a cottage. But for the cost it was very disappointing.

Jodie arrived 40 minutes early before check in; the property manager and cleaner felt rushed and hurried to vacate the property. I apologize if a bar of soap was left behind in their haste. I’m sorry she experience a few minor inconveniences to the leave you feeling my home is unliveable and I should be scored so low to not be eligible to make a living as a single mother. It did appear that her family enjoyed all the water toys daily and spent majority of each day by & on the water. It actually brought joy to see her young boys spend countless hours doing the simple things in life like catching frogs and bugs & fishing. It would have been nice if she mentioned those positive things even if it wasn’t from her personal perspective. In her review she fail to include that prior to her arrival the property manager or I wasn’t actually informed about bringing a boat. The code would have happily been sent in advance if notice was given. The appliances that been tested following your stay and have always worked as intended. The home does not have mold and it’s frankly slanderous to make such accusations. I live here with my toddler and senior mother all year round with belongs: linens, toys, food and furniture and never have I found any mold. Jodie also fails to mention she was reimbursed for a fee prior to her check-in for a fee she was not actually charged. Jodie stopped communicating regarding the return of the mis-sent reimbursement and VRBO was involved to finally force Jodie to return the funds. In my humble opinion at approx. $65/person per night Jodie and her group of seven got very good value. I was Jodie the best and safe travels in the future but would caution another host to think twice before hosting Jodie as a guest as it’s clear to me that she’s very difficult to satisfy and amplifies minor problems to justify her negative outlook.

This is a somewhat strange property as it is a triangular building in front of very shallow, rocky, weedy bed of water. But the outside is very good and the water toys are good. Grands enjoyed it.What this property needs is much more TLC . Dead plants should be removed. There MUST be a guidebook as there are many pieces of equipment which require instruction like a chromecast screen which links to a laptop or a phone. But how does one do that? There is a french press, a coffee maker, dishwasher, a washer and dryer with NO instructions. It is hard to understand where the light switches are and how the three electronic light switch pads work. (never did figure out the one to the MBR)There are no directions provide to the interesting places in the area nor to the emergency places in the area. There is no number given for one to call with any questions. And there was no salt and pepper. One half roll of paper towels, no shower soap, very little hand soap, not enough toilet paper, no tissues and these items either need to be provided or a GUIDEBOOK must be provided which indicates what there is and what isn't provided. There aren't enough towels, just one per person. Not adequate for water sports and showering afterwards. We rent alot and each place has a guidebook. This should be emailed to the renter in advance. In our rental property, we are constantly adding things that the renters ask for and we always email a guidebook well before the renters arrive.
