At the heart of the home is its namesake – a spectacular custom-built library with soaring floor-to-ceiling shelving, abundant natural light and a wood-burning fireplace that invites you to settle in with a good book or simply enjoy the quiet.
Whether you're escaping the city for a romantic weekend, working remotely in inspiring surroundings or enjoying a restorative break, The Library has been designed to make every stay feel effortless.
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features premium Miele appliances, including an induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher and full-sized refrigerator, making it just as enjoyable to prepare a leisurely breakfast as it is to share a relaxed dinner with local wine.
The cottage comfortably accommodates up to four guests, with a luxurious queen bedroom and a premium Natuzzi sofa bed in the library lounge.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens and the rolling countryside of Barcom Glen, The Library is a place where mornings begin slowly, afternoons disappear into a good book, and evenings are spent beside the fire beneath a sky full of stars.
Guests enjoy exclusive use of The Library, its private garden setting and verandah. The cottage is located in its own section of the garden, approximately 40 metres from the main residence on the Barcom Glen property. It offers complete privacy while ensuring we're nearby should you need anything during your stay. We respect your space, but we're always happy to assist with local recommendations or anything else to make your visit memorable.
The property is well placed for exploring the western Blue Mountains and Central Tablelands, with several excellent attractions within an hour’s drive.
The historic Zig Zag Railway at Clarence is approximately 25 minutes away. Its heritage trains travel through sandstone cuttings, tunnels, bushland valleys and the remarkable Great Lithgow Zig Zag. Advance booking is recommended.
Hassans Walls Lookout, around 30 minutes away near Lithgow, is the highest scenic lookout in the Blue Mountains. From approximately 1,100 metres above sea level, it offers expansive views across the Hartley, Kanimbla and Megalong valleys.
Mayfield Garden near Oberon is about a 40-minute drive. The 65-hectare cool-climate garden includes a box-hedge maze, water garden, lake, chapel, rose garden and extensive seasonal plantings.
Hartley Historic Site is approximately 20 minutes away. This beautifully preserved inland settlement features historic sandstone buildings, guided tours and the Kew-Y-Ahn Aboriginal Gallery. Jenolan Caves is normally around a 55-minute scenic drive from the property. However, the caves and surrounding reserve are currently closed for major road and infrastructure repairs, with the closure expected to remain in place until 31 December 2026. Guests should check the official website for reopening updates before planning a visit.
