The Bay Dune Cottage: Your Own Private Beach + Cozy Backyard Fire Pit
The Bay Dune is a red cottage on Tracadie Bay in Blooming Point, PEI, with your own private deeded beach just steps away and a cozy fire pit tucked into the backyard. Spend your days on red sand steps away or just a minutes' drive to the white sand at Blooming Point Beach. Evenings are made for the screened porch, watching the light change over the water, or gathering around the fire pit under the stars.
Inside, you'll find three bedrooms sleeping 6, a full kitchen, and a wood stove for cool nights. A full bathroom has a window overlooking the back yard and a shower with amazing pressure and fresh hot water straight from the well.
Beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas are provided, so you can walk straight from the door to the sand. Across the bay, Finn Folk serves some of the Island's best fish tacos, and downtown Charlottetown is only 20-25 minutes away.

Blooming Point is a quiet stretch on Tracadie Bay with deeded red sand beach access right across the road.
It's not touristy or built up, just dunes, water, and a real sense of Island life. We chose it because it's close enough to Charlottetown for a night out, about 20ish minutes, but far enough to feel like you've properly gotten away.

The Bay Dune sits right on Tracadie Bay with deeded beach access just across the road. It's a cozy 3 bedroom cottage that sleeps 6, with a screened in porch, a firepit, and a wood stove for cooler nights. We've stocked it with everything you need for the beach, towels, chairs, umbrellas, right down by the door. It's the kind of place where you can slow down and just enjoy real Island living.
