A large, open kitchen, a cast iron stove, an old refectory table, ancestral pictures and engravings from the Ippenburg holdings give the ground floor a unique flair and tell of times long gone. And yet, thanks to a major renovation in 2012, there is nothing stale or dusty. Each of the six bedrooms is individually designed in bright, clear colors, everything is practical and comfortably furnished, in the classic country style with a dash of Scandinavian "coolness".

This was a great house for a large family with room for 12 adults and lots of kids. It was in a great location for walks and access to all of the nature trails in the natural forest access near Bad Essen. It is certainly dated, but you should expect that in a house over 250 years old. Nice big kitchen and gathering spaces for conversations and meals.

Het is een tophuis, knap, ruim, gezellig ouderwets, robuust, keuken is ruim en is goed uitgerust ook met oven (staat niet in de beschrijving). De houtkachel is ook groot en stond megagezellig te branden iedere dag (naast de cv die het huis lekker warm houdt). We zaten er (met 12 man) met de kerst en op verzoek hebben ze ook een mooie geschmückte Weihnachtsbaum neergezet! Omgeving is leuk, Bad Essen knus plaatsje. Kasteel Ippenburg was met de kerst helaas dicht.Ik zou zo weer boeken! Eigena(a)r(en) van het huis heel aardig en via mail en telefoon makkelijke mee te communiceren. Via site van VrBO waar je berichten met vragen kan sturen wordt niet gelezen. Je krijgt in iedere geval nooit antwoord op je vraag. Waarom die communicatie zo slecht is begrijp nog steeds niet. Dit is ook het enige minpunt op het verblijf.Bedankt voor het leuke verblijf!Angelique & familie

Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende mit 3 Familien (10 Personen) hier verbracht. Die Lage ist ideal. Viele Möglichkeiten zum wandern. Großes Haus mit viel Platz für alle Personen. Großer Garten mit der Möglichkeit zum Grillen.Wir kommen gern wieder.

Alte Försterei

Wir waren das 2. Mal als Patchwork Familie da. Es hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen, da ausreichend Platz für 10 Erwachsene und 2 kleine Kinder.Es ist ein altes Haus, somit mit kleinen Abstrichen verbunden. Leider keine Verdunkelungsmöglichkeit an den Fenstern und keine gemütlichen Gartenmöbel.Es ist aber auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

Ein idealer Ort zum abschalten

Wir hatten mit drei befreundeten 5-köpfigen Familien alles was wir brauchten. Ein geräumiges Haus, einen großen Garten, eine wunderschöne Umgebung und ganz viel Sonne! Das machen wir gerne wieder!

Tolle Unterkunft für Gruppen

Wir haben hier mit nur 7 Personen eine sehr schöne Woche verbracht. Garten, Sitzgelegenheiten und die Küche sind gut für große Gruppen geeignet. Wir kommen gerne einmal wieder :)

Gerne wieder

In toller Lage (wenn man es ruhig mag) haben wir ein außergewöhnliches Haus mit viel Grün genossen. Wir brauchten viele Schlafzimmer und Platz für die Gemeinschaft. Das alles haben wir in dem alten Kotten gefunden.

Radurlaub

Wir hatten diese Unterkunft als Ausgangspunkt unserer Radtouren gebucht. Das Haus liegt sehr schön neben der Schlossanlage und hat einen großen Garten. Alles war wie in der Beschreibung des Objektes. Das Haus ist natürlich sehr alt aber urgemütlich und durch die vielen Zimmer und Bäder geeignet für große Gruppen. Einzig das Nichtfunktionieren vom WLAN war ein großes Manko. Es gab im Haus nicht einmal normalen Empfang mit Handys. Da wir vor Ort Routen planen wollten war das sehr ärgerlich zumal das als Ausstattungsmerkmal aufgeführt war. Ein Gespräch per Telefon mit der Objektbetreuerin brachte kein Ergebnis. Trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen.

Schöner Ort für ein Familientreffen

Für ein verlängertes Wochenende mit der ganzen Familie (3 Generationen) haben wir in der wunderbaren Försterei Quartier bezogen. Alle waren begeistert und auch die (Klein-)Kinder hatten Spaß in dem extra Spielzimmer. Die Aufteilung der Räume hat uns sehr zugesagt und mit 3 Badezimmern + 1 Toilette ist man sich auch nie in die Quere gekommen. Natürlich ist das Haus etwas „in die Jahre gekommen“, aber versprüht einen herrlichen Charme und es ist einfach wunderbar, dass solche Gebäude weiter genutzt werden können. Gerne kommen wir auch im Sommer nochmal wieder!

Angenehmer Aufenthalt

Es ist ein reizvolles altes Haus mit Geschichte auf einem großen grünen Grundstück ,sehr ruhig gelege und umgeben von großen alten Bäumen. Die Haustechnik funktioniert gut. Bei Gelegenheit sollte man aber den Abfluss in der Küche einmal kontrollieren. Empfehlen würde ich eine komfortablere outdoor -Möblierung. Ansonsten einfach schön!
