About this property

Cottage on the Hill

A place you just wont want to leave! Wake up to the sounds of whip birds, cat birds, kookaburra and many more. Set on 5 acres, the house backs onto rainforest and overlooks cleared paddocks with 180 degree mountain views. The residence boasts privacy, peace and tranquility all year round. Speewah is located 25 minutes from Smithfield, Cairns, and 25 minutes from Mareeba. It is a convenient location for exploring the Mareeba district and tablelands or the Cairns Northern Beaches. The wood stove is a perfect fit for cozy winter nights and the house is equipped with an air conditioner (which you may never have to use) which also provides heating. Speewah is always a few degrees cooler than Cairns. There is also an outdoor bbq area under a gazebo. The cottage has a shed to cater for storage of machinery and equipment. There are 2 bays available and plenty of outdoor space. Pets on application, though no cats permitted.
