Log Haven is a waterfront haven on Smith Mountain Lake in Huddleston/Moneta area. Our true log home is conveniently located to all that Smith Mountain Lake has to offer. Wide water views of Smith Mountain with stunning sunrises worth waking up for which can be enjoyed right from the comfy Master Bed. Log Haven is located only 30 ft from the water's edge (NO goat trail or lots and lots of steps to/from the lake here!) providing fast, easy access to the lake. Our deep water dock has clear, clean water and is perfect for swimming, fishing and all your water toys. Very convenient to grocery stores, marinas, restaurants, shopping, Smith Mountain State Park, golf, and wineries. Our home has all the amenities. Lakefront FIRE PIT, Large lakefront hot tub; 2 large, stone, electric log fireplaces; dock with sundeck and floating dock; shallow water area with sandy bottom; lakefront porch with comfy swings and rocking chairs; pool table; cable tv; and free high speed wifi.
Our home sleeps a maximum of 4. Our Master Bedroom, the Sunrise Room, has beautiful waterfront views, a King bed, and is located on the Main floor. Also on the Main Floor is the Great Room (with large, stone electric log Fireplace), Kitchen and a full Bathroom with tub/shower. Our 2nd floor Bedroom, The Treehouse Room, can be configured as either a King OR 2-XL twins and has its own bathroom with shower. The finished, walkout Basement has waterfront views to be enjoyed while you play pool and watch tv in addition to a 2nd large, stone electric log Fireplace, Laundry room, and ½ Bath.
Outdoor spaces include: lakefront fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs, a wrap around lakefront porch with 2 swings, 2 rocking chairs and a table for 4; a lower lakefront deck with Hot Tub, table for 4, Weber Spirit II Propane Gas Grill, and Charcoal grill; Private Dock (Boat Lift & Jet Ski Lift NOT available), Floating Dock, and Sundeck with 2-Adirondack Chairs, Table and 4 comfy chairs, 2-Chaise Lounges; Level Lakefront Lawn which is large enough to play most lawn games.
We have 2-Sit Inside Kayaks, 1-Sit On-Top Kayak and 1-SUP (Stand-up Paddleboard) for use by our guests. 4-adult and 2-child life vest are available.
We welcome Dogs only (must be at least 18 mos. old) ($50 fee), but please No Cats since we are HIGHLY allergic.

We had a great anniversary trip at the relaxing and beautiful location on the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks provided, while exploring the lake and nearby islands. We enjoyed hiking in the state park, which is very close. Then we enjoyed recovering from all our kayaking and hiking in the hot tub under the stars. The cabin was very cozy and the morning sunrise was amazing.

Great stay! The cabin is very charming - just the right amount of space for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. While it is an older/rustic cabin, it is clean and well-maintained. I loved the porch - the views were my favorite while reading or having coffee. The downstairs porch isn't featured much in pictures, but we also loved that space to keep all of our boating/outside items when not in use. We rented a pontoon boat from Parkway Marina down the road. We loved exploring the lake and anchoring by the mountain to fish/hang. Overall a great stay.

Lovely log cottage with amazing views, loved the dock and great swimming...The upper back deck railing made us a little nervous with our small dog and unfortunately one of the landscape timber steps gave way and my fiancé broke her ankle.

Perfect location. Lovely old log cabin with great amenities. From downstairs patio you are 20 foot easy walk to the shore , fire pit area, dock with upper deck, hot tub, grill and table and seating areas!!! Lake view is a million dollar view! We watched many deer , rabbits and even saw a hawk feeding her babies in a nest next door! Wildlife and gorgeous scenery and a lovely cabin in a quiet location—- it was wonderful.
