Nestled in the beautiful hamlet of Plan de la Cry, in Coupeau at an elevation of 1,470 metres, on the sunny side of the Chamonix Valley, with breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc massif.<br><br>This nature chalet is the ideal retreat for mountain lovers seeking a getaway in nature at the heart of a protected nature reserve. The chalet serves as a hub for numerous marked hiking trails that begin right at the chalet in Plan de la Cry.<br><br>As a mid-mountain guide, the chalet is stocked with numerous maps and books on mountaineering. I can also recommend walking routes and more challenging hikes, as well as nearby restaurants for your leisurely breaks!<br><br>From April through October, you can enjoy the Merlet Wildlife Park—a 30-minute walk from the chalet—as well as the Bettey climbing site and other activities in the valley.<br><br>Accommodation: <br>The chalet is a former alpine chalet but is now<br> fully equipped with all necessary kitchenware and appliances, featuring 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms with double beds + 1 dormitory-style room with 2 double bunk beds + 2 single bunk beds —sleeps 10), 1 bathroom, and an open-concept living room with kitchen. This chalet is equipped with a wood-burning stove and has a year-round supply of spring water (heated, of course!).<br><br>You’ll have access to a terrace with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc (probably the most beautiful view available from the Refuge du Goûter!) where you can enjoy breakfast and meals with family or friends.<br><br>The chalet is accessible by 4x4 or four-wheel-drive vehicle, or on foot from the free Bettey car park (allow 15–20 minutes). <br><br>Additional notes:<br>In April, snow is still possible; please be sure to have winter tyres or all-season tyres, or carry snow chains in your vehicle.

Das Haus ist alt und hier und dort einfach in die Jahre gekommen aber sehr charmant und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage war für uns perfekt, man ist einfach raus aus allem und der Blick auf die Berge ist einmalig. Schöner wird es nicht! Mit Sybille war es eine einfache gute Kommunikation, sie hat bei unserer Ankunft auf uns gewartet und wir haben alle Infos bekommen die wir brauchten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Für Leute, die Bock auf authentisches Leben am Berg haben und direkt aus der Haustür auf die Trails wollen, auf jeden Fall ein Highlight!
Un lieu idyllique et un chalet plein d'Histoire, qui bénéficie de tout le confort nécessaire!
Accueil très chaleureux de la propriétaire et de sa soeur, qui nous a aidé à monter nos affaires en 4x4, aide qui s'est avérée précieuse! On regrette seulement de devoir partir!

Merci pour votre appréciation, un retour fort qui laisse penser qu'il fait bon de vivre dans ce chalet accueillant ! Loin de tout , certes mais c'est dans un lieu calme et paradisiaque.
Il s’agit d’un chalet d’alpage très ancien, aménagé avec tout le confort nécessaire convenant bien aux amateurs d’authenticité et qu’une certaine touche de vétusté ne rebute pas.
Il faut vraiment un 4x4 pour atteindre le chalet (je n’y croyais pas trop…😆), car l’accès à pied est laborieux🥾🎒 pour revenir des courses notamment.
La vue du chalet ( même des lits…) est exceptionnelle. On y vit au milieu des affaires personnelles et des nombreux bouquins de la propriétaire, ce qui ajoute (à mon sens) au charme du logis. La salle de douche-lavabo mériterait toutefois d’être réaménagée.
Il faut cependant être indulgent compte tenu des difficultés d’accès.
Je recommande vivement !
