Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)
When our youngest of four children went off to college my wife Deanne and I figured it was time for us to quit the rat race and spend time doing the things we have dreamed about over the years. Scott quit his job as a VP and General Counsel of a Silicon Valley semiconductor company, we sold our house in the San Francisco Bay Area, and bought a condo at the Mana Kai Maui. Our extended family had vacationed here for several Thanksgivings so we knew what we were getting into--our piece of paradise. This picture includes Scott, Deanne and two of our four children--Kevin and Allison, sitting on the patio.
Owner purchased this Condo in 2008
Why Owner chose Kihei
The Mana Kai is so close to the ocean that when we first arrive we have to close the window because the waves are too loud. We take daily walks down the beach and let the warm water wash over our feet and the trade winds blow through our hair. I get up early and watch the sun rise over Haleakala and then, from the same seat on the patio I watch the sun set in the evening. Magic.
What makes this Condo unique
Keawakapu Beach is beautiful and very family friendly. The waves rarely break over one or two feet, so young children are free to frolic in the water. Wonderful snorkeling is right on the point. During the Spring you can watch the whales literally jumping out of the water. Scott enjoys golfing and there are four world class golf courses within a five minute car ride. While Scott is golfing Deanne likes to go to the Spa at the Grand Wailea.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Great Condo, excellent location!
We had a great stay at the Mana Kai. We have been coming here for over 20 years and will continue. This was a very nice, upgraded unit, one of the nicest we have stayed in at the Mana Kai. You can’t go wrong renting this unit and staying at the Mana Kai. It is the perfect spot!
Mana Kai 306
We had an amazing time during our 6 night stay in this beautifully updated 2 bedroom unit. The location of the building is perfect. We loved the laid back feel on Keawakapu beach and the great snorkeling right there. My 2 teenage daughters loved having their own space. My daughter rented an sup board right on the property which she really enjoyed. We did head down to the Grand Wailea for one night during our stay to check out their pool and beach. We had a great time there but preferred the Mana Kai for an extended stay...no need to get up early just to wait in line to reserve beach or pool chairs. The Mana Kai had everything we needed although we did rent a couple extra chairs and an umbrella since there were 4 of us. All we had to do was walk a few feet to a non-crowded picturesque beach.... just paradise. Breakfast and happy hour at the 5 Palms were great. The Mana Kai is such a peaceful property. I will miss drinking my morning coffee while soaking in the amazing view from the lanai. I would definitely stay at the Mana Kai and in unit 306 again.
great stay !
Fantastic location, feels brand new, and literally right on the beach! Home owner left a great "help sheet" for restaurants and activities. All recommendations spot on. Rental includes a great assortment of Beach gear as well. Place is a bit small for 4 people but everything else more than makes up or that. Loved it !!
Great Location & Ammenities
This property is in a great location right on the beach with sea turtles and snorkeling right out your doorstep. Loved the grass to sand beach concept for those who like to see the ocean without getting sandy. Also, there are a couple nice restaurants within walking distance, and a general store/deli right on the premises. Lahina is a quick/beautiful 45 minute drive north, and Wailea is a 5 minute drive south. Both offer dining, shopping, history, and excursions in addition to Kihei. This rental itself has a great layout and view of the beach and ocean not only from the balcony, but also the master bedroom and family room/kitchen. Also, the owner is very responsive and informative. We highly recommend this property.
We loved staying in Mana Kai room 306. Everything was just perfect & as described. The accommodations are very roomy for 2 couples, beds are excellent, & the kitchen is very well stocked with all you need if you prefer to cook. We enjoyed all there is to do here including the beautiful sunsets & beaches, snorkeling, great restaurants & just relaxing. Our only complaint would be that are time here has ended!
Everything was as represented. The condo unit comfortably suited 2 couples. The location and amenities were excellent and our host, Scott, is extremely helpful and responsive to any questions! I would come back here any time we come to Maui! Snorkeling with the turtles out front was a nice surprise! Jim
Situated on Keawakapu beach, consistently voted as one of the best beaches in Hawaii. Excellent snorkeling steps from your front door. Unbeatable, unobstructed views down to Wailea Point and Makena.
