Crosby Cabin is a great place for a quiet weekend away, the cabin is nice and isolated but not too far from stuff that it's an issue, very comfortable sheets and beds, the kitchen is well stocked and Molly is great about making sure her guests have all that they need. As indicated in the listing the internet/TV is on the slow side so maybe bring some DVDs for the TV or enjoy the outside, games and other great stuff available.
It was the perfect space for our family. I loved their home in the fall with all of the trees and fire pit. It is about an hour to Asheville and Linville. Molly was responsive to our needed. Everything we needed was provided. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home.
We were only able to (unfortunately) stay one night, but what a wonderful place. The cabin was clean, well stocked and cozy. The property was quiet and serene. The owner was also wonderful to work with and very responsive. We only live an hour west in Asheville, and will definitely be back with our pup. Thank you!
This cabin was adorable and a great place to stay if you are looking for something secluded and private. Still close to things but make sure to plan accordingly if you need groceries or gas. All of this was explained in an amazing and personalized welcome packet! The only drawback of this cabin was the cell phone and internet service being very low/slow, but otherwise we had Ana amazing stay and would 100% stay there again!
My daughter and I loved had a great time. We visited the Linville Waterfall and our puppy loved the hike. Asheville is not far and we went downtown for lunch for one day. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. The front porch was cool and peaceful drinking my cup of coffee in the morning. The cabin is cozy and just feels like home. I needed a break from work and coming here helped me come back to work Monday with a fresh start. Molly was so kind and answered any question I had. We will be back and I believe this will be our traditional vacation place each year. Love Love this place!!

Wanted to love it but ....
The Crosby Cabin is in a very nice setting and could be a great place to stay. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked for visitors and the view was good. The condition of the furniture in the living room was very poor. The couch and chaise were worn and dirty and the tables were all chewed up by animals. While the kitchen was clean the floors and porch furniture were dirty. we realize that it is a pet friendly cabin but it still should be better than this. watch out for chiggers by the fire pit.
This was a one-night stop over on a long road trip. Well worth the ride for an amazing night of sleep and peaceful surroundings. Molly had everything needed for a nice stay, including coffee, condiments and a wine opener! My one and only suggestion would be to limit the fragranced items. It’s my personal issue because of allergies, but many are intolerant. Again, my own issue - doesn’t change my thoughts of this lovely cabin or the care and comfort the owner has put into it!
We stayed at the cutest place. We went to check out Lake Lure and discovered this gem! A beautiful rustic cabin located on 10 acres of serene beauty!!! Our expectations were blown away upon arrival! Pine paneling made it seem like a north woods oasis. Fireplace and comforts that just make you feel warm and cozy.
Normally at a Vrbo stay they will supply you with dishes, forks, glasses, etc, the basics. Molly goes out of her way to make your vacation truly one of a kind! From soaps and shampoos to books, games, puzzles, food, beverages, and towels so soft and thick, you will disappear in them!
It was like staying at a family members home who tells you to help yourself. Clean, quiet, charming are great adjectives to describe their place. At night in the summer, go out the back door. It is pitch black and you are serenaded by an orchestra of frogs and crickets. Look up at the night sky and you will see a million stars lighting up the sky.
Pets are welcome so we brought ours. He walked around the entire house checking out every room and then actually found a dog bed and laid down and said ahhh! We knew he had given the place a thumbs up as well.
If you are going to Lake Lure, stay here. But book fast because from the look of her guest book, many people are frequent visitors. This place is the best!!!!!
Great location if you are looking to tour around some Forest City and South Mountains. Really enjoyed it! As others have said the internet is very poor so your results may vary depending on your purpose of stay. Didn't bother us though.
The property was gorgeous sitting on 10 acres of natural beauty. I love cabins that have the large high windows inside, where you can look down below if you're upstairs. It was pet friendly and so clean. Our dogs didn't spend anytime sniffing around in the house, but they loved the outside property to roam around (on leashes of course)! :-) The cabin was stocked with anything you needed. The owner was so helpful with great added tidbits of info. Loved that!!! The drive to surrounding little towns was no more than 15-20 mins. We even took a day trip to Asheville for lunch and it took less than an hour to get there. We plan to revisit Crosby Cabin in the future!!! Thanks Molly!!!
This cabin out in the beautiful countryside near Union Mills was just what we needed. An excellent weekend get-away. The owner, Molly, could not have been nicer, and went out of her way in so many ways to make this weekend great! We were here for our anniversary, for a weekend get-away. Molly had a nice little chocoloate cake in the fridge waiting for us, with a note 'happy anniversary'. Was great! We will definitely be back!
Stayed here prior to lake lure tri. Only stayed overnight before but was convenient to lake lure and a comfortable night's sleep. Accurately described online and very secluded/private.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Molly was very helpful, and great communication. Loved our trip to lake lure to the Chimney Rock not far from were we stayed. Overall loved our stay and enjoyed our trip. 😁
We have absolutely enjoyed our stay. The cabin has everything you need. It is very cozy and we are definitely coming back. It was great to take a break from work and rest. We played board games and did some hiking to see the Linville waterfall. Our puppy Salem loved the cabin, too. Thank you.
We had a relaxing and wonderful time. The property was just as advertised, secluded and beautiful. This was a much needed mountain get-away.
Molly, thank you for allowing us to bring our pups. They had the best time exploring the property, especially playing in the creek. They also enjoyed warming up in front of the fireplace after their adventures. The Christmas card and treats for the pups was a great unexpected surprise. I hope you find and like the small addition we left.
Thank you again for everything. May God continue to bless you and your family. Last but not least Go Navy!!!
If you're looking for a nice cabin in the woods vibe, this is it! It is absolutely pitch black at night which is awesome for looking at the stars, which we aren't used to being able to see in Nashville. It is a ways out from what you want to do but the views along the way make up for it. There are plenty of things to do and even a cool waterfall on the property to hike to. We all had a great time and appreciated Molly allowing us to enjoy her cabin.
This was a beautiful cabin in the woods it was secluded just like it says but it was beautiful! Well maintained, well stocked with anything you could think of! Loved it was a bit of work with dogs but I am sure they loved the long walks. Would definitely go back but just the two of us!
