About this property
Cozy mountain adventure for all-family, friends and furry pups!
Bring the whole family — pups included* — to a warm and cozy cabin retreat, a perfect home base for outdoor adventure with access to a private dock on crystal-clear Watauga Lake overlooking the Appalachian Mountains. Enjoy hiking the AT, swimming, fishing, and boating by day, then unwind on the wraparound porch by the fire pit as the sun sets and you stargaze the night away. It’s the perfect getaway for you, your loved ones, and your pups as you relax, reconnect and make memories to last a lifetime.
Our cabin boasts a 26’ wall of windows to enjoy the stunning long range mountain views and the sunset from all three floors. With spectacular views from the wrap around porch, this cabin home has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a large 3rd floor loft. You'll also have access to our private dock for access to Watauga Lake.
The private dock** is located .2 miles downhill from the cabin on beautiful Watauga Lake. Swim, fish, or tie your boat off at the dock. Sit and relax on the benches while enjoying the lake.
First Floor: The open concept main floor has a family room with tv and gas fireplace, dining table that can accommodate 8, and an upscale kitchen with a farmhouse sink, gas stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave/convection oven, wine chiller and a large island with seating for 4. It is well stocked with all of the necessary cookware, appliances and accessories needed to make your meals. The master ensuite is located on the main floor, perfect for anyone who has trouble navigating stairs. It has a king bed with drawer storage underneath, a desk and a tv. In the bathroom there is a dual vanity, a separate toilet room, a walk in shower with dual shower heads, and a full size front load washer and dryer.
2nd Floor: The 2 secondary bedrooms are located on the second floor with a hall bathroom that has a shower/tub combo. Each bedroom has a queen bed, dresser and a desk.
3rd Floor: The third floor loft is a large hang out space with a tv, reclining sofa and chair, games, foosball, plus 2 queen daybeds with full size trundle beds.
On the wrap around porch you will find a gas fire pit with rocking chairs perfect for making s’mores, 2 hanging chairs to relax and enjoy the mountain air while you cook your favorite dinner on the gas grill and eat at the outdoor table.
Enjoy the serene setting provided by the nearby mountains and lake, while benefiting from a convenient location just 10 miles from Mountain City and Elizabethton, and 30 miles from Boone, NC or Johnson City, TN for easy access to nearby amenities.
*We welcome dogs** (pet fee required) to join your family and enjoy the beauty of the area. Due to owner allergies, only allow dogs on the property.
**The walk from the dock back to the cabin is a strenuous .2 mile walk back uphill. Cove water levels vary in the fall and winter due to the TVA lake draw down which may impact access to the dock by boat.

Why they chose this property
Owning a mountain home and a lake home has always been a dream to us. This is the best of both worlds, and the beauty of this mountain-lake is just breathtaking. In a time when the world was all stuck within the walls of their own home, we decided to purchase this beautiful cabin as a way to escape, explore, enjoy the beauty around us, and share it with others wanting to do the exact same thing! No matter the season, the views are stunning here, I promise you!
