The Higher the Hair - 2BR Condo for 4 facing Park, Wifi

"The higher the hair, the closer to God" - Dolly, local chanteuse. Hair raising direct views of The Park and Mt Leconte! This condo has 2 bedrooms for 4 people (1 queen, 2 single beds). The living room and bedrooms each have a TV! You can cook meals in the fully stocked kitchen.

You'll be close to the Sugarlands park entrance and have access to pools and hot tubs!

This is a two bedroom condo designed for 4 people to kick back and enjoy the Smokies.
It is located on the 1st of 3 floors.
NOTE: There are no elevators in this building and complex. You will need to be mobile enough to use stairs where needed.

You have your own private wifi with cable TV. There is a coffee maker! The wood burning fireplace is available between October 1 and March 31.

We host several units at this complex available for families and groups. Please take a look at all our listings here and in the area. Discounts available for multiple bookings, just send us a note.

*** Indoor Pool Availability: open year round between the hours 900AM to 945PM daily.
*** Outdoor Pool Availability: open in the Spring (generally around March/April, depending on weather) thru at least Labor Day (depending on weather). Please inquire if you questions about avaiability. The pool is heated though it may not be warm enough during colder weather. Guests swim at their own risk.
*** Free 7 day gym pass at 321 Fit Club in Gatlinburg! Please message us if you want complimentary use of a 24/7 gym during your stay!

The place looked exactly as pictured. It’s not big but perfect for family of 4. Place had everything you needed. Hostess replied right away to my messages. It has breathtaking view of the mountains. The drive up to the place is a bit steep since its seats high on the mountain. It’s about 10 minutes right to all Gatlinburg attractions

The communication from the host before arrival was excellent — clear directions, parking details, and check-in info. The view from the condo was the highlight: stunning sunsets over the mountains and a great look at Gatlinburg at night. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives mostly ended.When we arrived, we were surprised to find the exterior of the building under construction — scaffolding, tools, broken boards, and nails scattered around. Not exactly what you expect when hauling luggage in. Inside, my first thought was, “Why are all the pictures crooked, and are those dirty socks hanging in the closet?” My daughter ended up straightening the artwork herself.The place felt grimy — sticky remotes, multiple burnt-out lightbulbs, and a persistent urine smell in the master bath. The toilet constantly refilled from a tank leak, and the tub faucet dripped nonstop. Every window blind was missing its pull cord, and the one in front of the toilet didn’t even cover the window fully — not ideal when you’re eye level with the parking lot.Flooring was chipped and uneven, with soft spots you could feel underfoot. Someone thought it was a good idea to use wood trim inside the shower, which tells you a lot. The mattresses werecheap foam — one topper was literally torn apart, and the other sounded like a washboard every time someone moved.You can hear everything from the upstairs unit. Overall, it felt like a half-finished DIY project.We left the dirty socks, they werent ours.

Confusing review. We have pictures of the entire unit before and after the stay from our team. There are no pics of socks nor did any of them. The window blinds are manual not cord operated. This is the opposite of a DIY project and while you're free to your opinion, we do not agree with you based on our facts and information. The complex is upgrading siding and paint of its building which is a required periodic undertaking given it's on the top of a beautiful mountain! This guest mentioned none of these things during their stay even as we checked in with them on day of arrival. We would not recommend this guest.

If you enjoy a mountain view this is your spot! Just remember it comes with the trip up the mountain, which you do get used to! It was easy access to the strip and pigeon forge which we visited daily. The host was very easy to communicate with and prompt. We traveled with a 1 year old and 5 year old. A pack n play fit nicely in the master bedroom. It was nice to be able to shut doors to bedrooms and bathrooms as 1 year olds are into everything! We also enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool that was on the property a few times!

The view was incredible. The majority of the unit was reasonably clean but one of the bathrooms had a lot of mold. We told the owner right away but they didn’t send anyone to clean it for days and action wasn’t taken until I said this would be reflective in my review. There was a mouse infestation somewhere in the walls that made sleeping difficult the last 2 nights, and we saw 2 mice in the kitchen. We alerted the owners right away. They wanted to send pest control the last evening we were there and I declined bc I had no idea how long they would be there trying to deal with this and we had to get ready to leave and try to sleep. In hindsight it may not have mattered bc we got intermittent sleep due to the loud noises from the mice at night. When I said it was unacceptable that we had a moldy shower we couldn’t use for the first 3 days the owners messaged me saying I’m sorry you feel that way. That bathroom still had moldy caulking around the sink but after being cleaned probably we could at least use the shower for the remainder of our trip. While the owners were very rude to us and didn’t make these issues a priority the manager from Smokies Time was excellent to work with, when we finally were able to speak with her. She is the one who finally got the shower cleaned and brought us a nice gift as an apology for the inconvenience. However, again the owners were extremely rude to us in their messages the entire time. I would recommend using Smokies Time but avoiding these owners.

This guest is not truthful with a number of things in this review. Our team was never rude to her on messages or in person as we attended to her concerns. We have an entire message history showing this where we replied respectfully (as we do with all guests! check our reputation on any booking platform). Our team worked with her in person to address the concerns. We cleaned and even replaced shower hardware to assure her that there would not be any cleanliness issues. We did what we could with the complex and in our unit to address the pest issue. We also offered a gift just as a nice gesture. So, here we are. It's unfortunate after all this effort and attention this guest still feels that it's appropriate to write this kind of review. Future guests: feel free to check our reviews and inquire to see how responsive and helpful we are!
