Come Get Cozy at Our Elkin Country Cottage

Looking for a cozy getaway in the country? The Elkin Country Cottage, nestled in the heart of North Carolina wine country takes you back in time. The completely renovated home boasts all the modern conveniences including high speed WIFI, YouTube TV, Netflix, modern appliances and amenities. Watch the cows graze across the street from the comfort of the warm living area while sipping coffee or a glass of local wine. Snuggle up on the couch with a good book or great company.

We have now added a game room in the garage. Access is available upon request!. The room includes a 3 in 1 game table, electronic basketball game and kids crafts.

Guests can hike the Powerhouse trail to Carter Falls, head into America's Favorite Small Town of Elkin or visit any of the 15 vineyards & wineries within a 15 minute drive.

If you're looking for longer hikes, Stone Mountain State Park is 20 minutes away and the Blue Ridge parkway is 30 minutes. We will gladly provide hiking, dining and vineyard recommendations and itineraries upon request.

You might see or encounter wildlife while on our property or neighborhood, including, but not limited to: deer, raccoon, skunk, opossum, fox, reptiles, many kinds of birds, bees, wasps, mosquitoes, spiders, ants. These creatures reside in nature and we have little control over them.

You will feel as though you are miles away from it all, but just minutes to everything!

Stone mountain trail

We hiked the stone mountain trail and stone mountain waterfalls. There are great views atop stone mountain of the blue ridge mountains . Went on a trip to Mt Airy (Mayberry) lots of memorabilia from the TV show. It was a great vacation.

Cozy Cottage; great location

Cottage was so cute and cozy and so very well appointed with thoughtful attention to almost anything you might need. Bed and sofa were very comfortable. Kitchen is well equiped. Cottage is very private, but still in proximity of hikes and wineries we wanted to go to. We ran out of time to do all we had planned, so we plan to return!

Girl’s Wine Weekend Getaway

The farms around the house were just beautiful and serene. The house was so delightfully decorated in all things wine. The hosts thought of everything you might need for a getaway to wine country. Hiking and wineries were within 20 minutes of the house and the downtown Elkin area was also close. We loved that the hosts left several recommendations of things to do and see as well as where to eat. We are definitely going back!

Oasis for Wine Country!!!

This place is truly a hidden treasure! The serene location with minimal traffic made our stay incredibly peaceful. We loved relaxing on the charming front porch in the mornings, sipping coffee and enjoying the tranquil sight of cows grazing nearby. Evenings were just as delightful as we grilled steaks and lounged on the private back porch. The home is impressively well-equipped with all the utensils, pans, and dishes you could need, along with a high-end washer and dryer that added to the convenience. The inviting decor and cozy atmosphere instantly made us feel at home. It was the perfect base for our ‘wino’ weekend in Elkin. Highly recommend—5 stars without hesitation!

A Great Place to Get Away and Relax

This cottage is as cozy and inviting as so many previous renters have noted. The extra touches like coffee, tea, and breakfast bars were especially appreciated. The location is just about perfect- far enough in the country to feel like you're really getting away, but at the same time you're within easy driving distance of Elkin and Stone Mountain. This property was perfect for us. Really close to Elkin and several wineries we wanted to visit. They had everything we needed. The kitchen was great and it was so nice to have coffee and tea available for us. We enjoyed the porch while listening to the neighboring horses and cows. So peaceful!

The cottage is 12 minutes from the town of Elkin with great restaurants, wineries and breweries and also just 20 minutes from Stone Mountain State Park which has some of the best hiking in the area.
