Welcome to Bluegill Lake Cabins, a peaceful East Texas getaway nestled on 22 private acres surrounded by pine trees, ponds, and nature. Our cozy rustic cabins are thoughtfully spread out across the property to give guests privacy, space, and a relaxing country atmosphere while still feeling welcoming and comfortable.



Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, family vacation, fishing trip, or simply a quiet place to unwind, Bluegill Lake Cabins was created to help guests slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the outdoors. Spend your mornings sipping coffee on the porch while listening to birds and frogs around the ponds, afternoons fishing, kayaking, canoeing, or exploring the property trails, and evenings relaxing in your private hot tub or gathered around the fire pit under the East Texas stars.



Guests are welcome to enjoy the property’s canoes and kayaks while exploring the ponds and soaking in the peaceful scenery. The property includes multiple ponds, open grassy areas, tall pine trees, and plenty of room to walk, relax, and enjoy nature. Guests often see deer, rabbits, birds, and other local wildlife throughout the property.

Kevin met us when we arrived . He is a friendly no nonsense kind of guy . The cabin was nice and organized and had everything you need to spend a few nights . Canton was only 10 to 15 minutes away . Great stay !

The only drawback to this beautiful little cabin was the shower is too small. But everything else is beautiful. There is 3 other cabins on property and they are spaced out so you feel comfortable with your own space to relax. They are very accommodating and nice people.I recommend a visit especially if you want to go to First Monday Trade Days in Canton and maybe men that would rather sit and fish

We spent our 12 year anniversary at this cabin and it was one of the best places we have ever stayed! We got to go kayaking, made a bonfire, cooked on the grill, and hang out in the hot tub. It was very peaceful and quiet with pretty views and very private. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

Loved it!! Very quaint and peaceful.. just what we were looking for. Will be returning during warmer months to enjoy the lake a little bit more.. but loved the hottub & fire pit during the colder days!

Blue Gill Lake Getaway

My daughter and I stayed at Cici's cabin at the Blue Gill Lake Cabins. It was awesome. The cabin was cozy, quite and very well kept. We had a wonderful time sitting around the fire pit in the evening and enjoying the quiet. The fishing on the lake was great. We spent 3 days fishing and caught bluegill, bass and crappie. It was so relaxing sitting on the dock and watching the cranes visit the lake and the turtles sun themselves on the stumps. Great place to get away and relax.

Good place to visit unfortunately mother nature didnt cooperate. Forced us to leave early due to storms that took power out. No running water or electric so we ended up leaving. While there the one day was very pleasant. Caught alot of fish. Only real downfall was the roaches in the kitchen were pretty bad. Probably to do with all the rain area had lately. Clean cabin and very peaceful. Host was great.
