It is rare to find a place that is better than the pictures indicate. This is one of them. Great communication from the owner and the cottage is fantastic. I found myself wanting to stay longer. We were impressed with everything from the view to modern updated space. Communication with the owner was also on point.
Thanks again Christopher!
We had the pleasure of spending three amazing days in Sonoma wine country in October, 2022. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to spend time in the Russian River wine region. The cottage is incredibly quiet and peaceful. There are nice views of the vineyards and hillsides. The cottage itself is appointed very nicely and has all the amenities one could need.
We enjoyed our long weekend at this wine country cottage.
It was a perfect summer getaway to celebrate our anniversary (minus the kiddos). The property and surrounding country side is lovely. The private pool and gardens were a highlight. The cottage was well appointed and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I'd highly recommend this cottage to any couple looking for a charming, quiet and relaxing location. Christopher was a great host.
Visited Russian River Valley and stayed at this property. One of the nicest places we've stayed. Guest house is adjacent to the main house but felt like we had the entire pool area to ourselves. Beautiful, quiet, clean and modern place with excellent views. Host was great. Definitely would repeat.
My husband and I stayed at Christopher's property and could not have been happier. We needed a long relaxing weekend and everything was exactly as described. The indoor space is well designed, decorated and clean. Felt like being in a super luxury hotel. The outdoor area and pool are exquisite. Christopher was the most gracious host- available for anything we needed and even left us flowers from the garden and freshly picked oranges from his tree as a welcome on the table! We hope to come back next time we visit the West coast.
I stayed at this STUNNING property over the Thanksgiving weekend a couple weeks ago with someone I’m dating, and we are still basking in the glow of the amazing experience. First, this guest house is large and gorgeous. It's built over the owners’ garage and has magnificently high ceilings, professionally décor, luxurious bedding and thoughtful details provided to make you feel at home, from the robe and slippers to the coffee and toiletries. The furniture was designed to serve as room dividers, and I’d often read or relax in the morning in the sitting area while my companion slept in longer in the next space. There's a minifridge and a washer/dryer in the walk-in closet and a shower that's large enough to throw a dance party in, not that I would recommend that. The views are incredible - rolling hills of wine country from the bed, their lovely landscaped pool area from the dining table. Every morning we'd have an espresso from their machine and then coffee from their French press, in the HOT TUB. The pool is amazing, but too cold when we were there. We’d love to be back in the summer when we could enjoy that as well. But they had the hot tub running each morning for us. Which brings us to the second point, you cannot ask for more accommodating hosts than Christopher and Arne. They are just a few steps away, but were obviously very conscious about giving us privacy while being readily available for any of our needs, including recommendations of places to eat, wineries, etc. Finally, it’s a fantastic location, about 15 minutes from downtown Healdsburg and a short drive to many gorgeous wineries. You can even walk to Martin Ray, which I highly recommend. Don't hesitate booking if you are lucky enough to have access to this special oasis!
