Wonderful view!
This is a lovely apartment. Although the amenities are simple it has everything you need to spend a comfortable and enjoyable week at the beach. The view from the apartment is beautiful, the sunrises are absolutely stunning! The balcony is very private and is a great place to have coffee or afternoon tea.

We enjoyed our stay. An easy walk to the boardwalk and close to the beach. Having a pool was nice for the kids. Boogie boarding was good here. Big waves all week. Definitively chilly in early June! The community seemed safe and we were comfortable letting the kids go back and forth to the beach and pool. We will be back!

Not as expected
The unit was definitely older and not as well taken care of as the pictures made it seem. Carpets were stained, walls had visible marks and damage. It appeared to not have been cleaned either. Dishes were dirty, there was hair in the bathroom, and the kitchen floor had food still on it. The only positive was the location and ocean front view.

Nice but still needs thorough cleaning
This was our 4th time staying in this condo and we really like the location and size. In my last review from June 2022, I had requested that a full length mirror be added so we could see how our outfits look instead of just our faces - it was! Thank you! Only thing is, it's in the very back bedroom, which was not always accessible with our other guests staying in that room. All bedrooms could use better, stronger lighting, but especially that back bedroom with the twin beds. One tiny flimsy lamp on the nightstand with a weak bulb is not enough. Especially since the blinds are kept closed so people on the walkway can't look inside. We could barely see in the mirror, it was so dark in that room. In my opinion, it would have been much better placed behind the master bedroom door, or somewhere in that room.
My biggest complaint is that the unit needs a thorough cleaning. Not just a quick wipe down between guests! The surface cleaning is okay, but not enough. The tile floors are DIRTY - not sand or dirt that can be swept up, but when wiping up a spill, the paper towel was filthy. And the carpet in the main bedroom! Are those teensy awful shag throw rugs really a cover up for the dark carpet stains in the entry to the bedroom? That rug was so unpleasant looking that when I went to remove it, I saw that it was covering up the stains! I didn't want to walk on that shag rug, nor the stains, so I kept flip flops on while in the condo. I would like to attach pictures of the area but don't see that I can do that.
We would love to stay again in the fall, but would also like to know that someone cares enough to actually do a good cleaning, and either clean the carpet stains or replace it. Thank you.

Owner or management company still has not fixed master bedroom shade!
I've lost count on how many times we've stayed in this unit over the years, several, but some things just have not changed! It's very nice that most of the rooms have fresh paint, it seems like a new, more comfortable mattress in the master bedroom, and a new refrigerator. However, the lighting is still very poor in all the bedrooms, especially the 3rd room in the back next to the bathroom - worst lighting ever! One tiny bulb that doesn't light the room at all. Vacasa's towels are so very rough, one can use them for exfoliating. But the biggest issue we had was the window covering in the master bedroom. Last year, we stayed in this exact unit, at the exact same time of year, and the window covering was falling off the top, yet pulled down covering the windows, to the point where it could not be moved. Maintenance wanted to leave it broken hanging down to the floor, but that would defeat the exact reason for renting this condo - the fantastic view of the ocean! So last year we had them remove the blind, and were told a new one had been ordered but of course wouldn't get there for our stay. Fast forward to exactly a year later, the "new?" exact same type window covering in the master bedroom was hanging all the way down, completely covering the windows and could NOT be raised, try as we might. No strings to pull, it didn't retract when pushed from the bottom. No way to raise the blind for the magnificent view we love and booked. That was a HUGE disappointment, and we didn't even call Vacasa because we already knew from last year's stay that nothing would be done while we were there. We did report it upon leaving though. The condo owner and Vacasa both need to step up on getting this finally fixed for good. We were very disappointed that it was not fixed over a year's time.

Great View
Loved the fab view. Master queen bed was comfortable. Didn’t use the other beds. We’re a cooking family and kitchen was a little light on serving utensils and other implements like measuring cups and an ice cream scoop. Coffee pot lid had to be manually held down for coffee to come through the grounds.

3rd stay in this condo, 2nd through Vacasa
I find it hard to believe that there is only 1 very short review since mine, back in September 2021. I was very glad to see that the owner took my suggestion from last time and added a pretty wall clock to the living room area. Would still love to see a full length mirror somewhere in the condo, for those of us who are short and had a hard time seeing in the high mirrors. Many things in this condo are high - the master bed, the dresser top, even the master bathroom sink. It's manageable, it would just be nice to be able to take a look at oneself before going out.
A few things were off this time, therefore the 4 stars. When we first walked in late at night, we noticed that the entire screen door to the balcony was off the frame and fell on us when we tried to open the door. We put it back in the best we could, called about it the next morning to report it, and didn't use it the rest of our stay. They were very nice about it, offered to send someone to fix it, but we didn't want someone coming in while we were out, and the glass door was all we really needed.
That said... this unit is more "used" looking than our last stay of only 9 months ago. The area rug in the living room and the carpet in the master bedroom need a good cleaning. The numerous stains were not pleasant to look at or walk on. The 1 bath mat that we had for 2 bathrooms was thin and dingy grey in color. I don't think the tile floors were washed recently, it seems they were possibly just swept? Though there was sand on the floor outside the smaller bathroom when we first came in. Again, we didn't ask for it to be fixed because we prefer not to have people coming in when we are not there, but I do think that the Vacasa cleaning needs to get back to where it was just a few months ago.
Because we've stayed there twice before, I knew there was supposed to be a "starter" kitchen pack, but there was not. That includes a small bottle of dish soap, a sponge, dish towel, toilet paper, and a roll of paper towels. I did ask about this when I called about the screen, and the very nice and helpful person on the phone sent it over within the hour. YAY! Coincidentally, the staff member was leaving when we arrived back at the condo and told us that she left it hanging on the doorknob because she doesn't like entering when no one is there - nice!
So while it wasn't as spic 'n span as the last impressive time we stayed, which was our first under Vacasa, it's a nice condo with pretty much most of what one needs to have a great time at Bethany Beach!

We had a wonderful time and loved the ocean front view.
We had a wonderful time and loved being on the ocean front side. We were wishing the pools opened earlier and stayed open later. It was our first time and didn't know if one of the buses went to Bethany boardwalk or not. We had people with us with medical conditions and were unable to walk. Parking is always an issue at the boardwalk.

There is not a Sea Colony shuttle that goes to the Bethany boardwalk area at this time. There are a lot of complicated logistics involving the town and rules governing shuttle buses that make the suggestion a hard one to arrange. Maybe some day!
