Fantastic experience for our honeymoon, the villa is very private, well maintained, and is roomy enough for larger families too. Has all of the basics for cooking and the hot tub was excellent. In addition, the host and housekeeper are both communicative and have excellent recommendations. We will be returning with our whole family someday!

Difficulty in bringing luggage up the many steps to the house. Kitchen utensils need to be sorted out and updated. Otherwise the house was clean, the view spectacular and the ambiance great.

Wonderful Côte D’Azur Villa

Wonderful and spacious villa with incredible views of beautiful Menton. Close to Italy and Nice, easy to drive or use train. Villa was clean and our host was very accommodating. Couldn’t find a better vacation home in the south of France than this one!

We loved this property. The views are spectacular and had enough space for 6 of us plus dog to relax and enjoy our holiday in comfort. We didn’t use the car at all but walked into Menton via the old town and also caught the train to Monaco and Eze. It’s quite a hike back to the property but if you don’t want to walk, then taxis will take you back. It was lovely to come back to the property after a full day out and enjoy an aperitif on the various terraces.

It was a beautiful old farm house with absolutely fabulous views. The house is lovely. The extreme heat unfortunately made it quite uncomfortable. The host had let me know ahead of time that there was a/c only in the bedrooms (this could be clearer on the vrbo listing) and that it wouldn’t be as strong as US standards. However, it was challenging because the a/c worked well in the primary bedroom but was leaking so we needed to keep a bucket that was constantly catching very loud dripping water. The a/c in the upstairs room did not cool the single bed adjacent to it well, and the downstairs bedroom was extremely hot. We had to keep the door between the upstairs bedroom and the downstairs one open to try to get some of that cool air down there and it was just pretty miserable. Plus, the listing had described an additional queen bed in an office, which didn’t exist, so there weren’t any other options. The heat in the rest of the house was stifling. Communications with the host and the property manager were somewhat strained; not sure if it was lost in translation or they were mad when we mentioned that the vrbo posting was wrong, the garbage instructions were confusing, or that the wifi password they gave us was incorrect (we found the right one in the house). These challenges made the stay more frustrating than it needed to be, but we still had a great time and loved visiting Menton.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback! Please keep in mind that during your stay, not just Menton, but most of Western Europe experienced an unusually severe heatwave. That said, we took your experience to heart and are actively working to upgrade the A/C system across the entire Villa. We appreciate you pointing out the listing details—we have already updated the description to remove the reference to an "office" (a translation error on our part) and clarified the instructions for future guests. Thank you for your kind words about the property! While the Villa has been in our family for over a century, it underwent a complete renovation and modernization in recent years to blend its historic character with modern comfort. We are so glad you had a wonderful time overall, and we would love to welcome you back again in the future

Fabulous Time in Menton

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Menton. It has a wonderful view and is terrific to enjoy sunsets and sunrises over the City Center and the Mediterranean. It is a fair distance up the hill from the City Center itself, so you definitely would want a car, but the roads are good and the property is very easy to get to. We were there during a heat wave, so while the one master bedroom is pleasantly air conditioned, the other bedrooms get fairly hot. That would be my only suggestion for the owner is to add more fans and/or air conditioning units.

Thank you for your review, we are glad you liked the Villa. You no doubt realize that the current heat wave is quite unusual, in fact I don't think it ever happened before to that extent and duration. Usually, the evening breeze was enough to cool things up and make you want to be outside... Anyway we have bought a "air mover" and we are getting a portable A/C device for the rooms upstarirs. Hope to see you back some time Francois

thank you so much for your review. Indeed, it takes a few turns and a few steps to get there but, I am sur that you agree the quality of the property, the almost complete silence (except for the birds and the crickets ) and of course the view make it worthwhile. The Villa will be delighted to see you again. Francois

My daughter , some friends and I had once again the pleasure of staying at " Villa Paraisette " for few days.I want to say that we discover some new, very pleasant features evrey time. For once, we felt like cooking and we were delighted to see that, among the several beautiful books in the living room, the was a couple of cookbooks dedicated to food in Provence, so we were able to eat like locals .. Also, we had a personnal problem which Arnaud, the housekeeper manager always very aavailable helped us solve. As always, we were sorry to leave.

Villa Paraisette off season: a most enjoyable experience

My daughter and I went back to Villa Paraisette for a week last October . It was our second visit and it was a most enjoyable experience . First at all, Menton off season is quite pleasant . No line waiting in restaurants , shop owners are glad to see you . The sun is still warm . At the villa , Arnaud , the house keeper is very nice and ready to help us in case of problem : he lives nearby . The villa is very welcoming , It had been scrupulously cleaned and sanitized , a useful precaution in these time of pandemics . I hope very much to be able to come back .
