A lovely little historic cottage with beautiful grounds and gardens. Historic, but is outfitted with good water pressure and AC. I especially loved the 2 screened-in patios.

The term 'cottage' perfectly sums up this house. It was a wonderful place to whileaway a day, or place to come back to after a long day of sight seeing in Charleston. The property gardens were beautiful. While you may speak to the owners about your stay, the true host of the property was a grey, short-haired tom, named Earl Grey. He was never allowed into the cottage, but that didn't stop him from coming by every other day to tell us hello and to check up on us. Earl also stopped by on our check out day to tell 'goodbye'.Great stay. The owners communicated effectively. Great little town to visit and house see.

What an incredibly charming guest house! Well appointed, comfortable, close to downtown. The gardens were lovely, even in a chilly January. The heater worked well and it had to work hard bc of the cool weather we had while there! The host was instantly available and directions were easy/accurate. I would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely experience at the Linwood Cottage. The hosts are wonderful, very attentive and quick with communication. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The place itself was a slice of heaven. The gardens were beautiful. We will be back the next time we are in South Carolina.

The residence was a very nice n relaxing place to stay. Loved the garden areas around the house. Owner was very nice to visit with as well. Was nice to hear about the grounds. Very comfortable n homey. Also loved the front porch(for morning book reading n coffee) and the back sunroom was nice to look at the gardens. Plenty of rum for three of us in the cottage. Would highly recommend.

We did enjoy the cottage although the furnace was very noisy. We had nowhere to park Saturday night due to a tent function going on.

Thanks Priscilla, for your kind review. We host a few special weddings each year at Linwood. They always end by 9pm and I did send you parking instructions for the hours from 4-9pm. Sorry if you didn’t receive those. We will look into any noise right away. The house doesn’t have a furnace but I’ll send my handyman today. Safe travels!

Amazing Stay

We stayed at the 1920 house, absolutely beautiful. Loved the history of the property. We were free to walk the grounds of the historic house. It was close to down town. I would definitely go back when I'm in town again. LOVED IT!

1920 cottage

Very nice cottage in a great location - walking distance from many restaurants, and event locations. Property in a quiet location, surrounded by large trees. Owners very responsive to any questions we had during our two week stay.

I love the trees and scrubs especially the Moss hanging from the trees.Kitty cat was friendly.Loved the ceiling fans.Owner needs to up grade the sofa to a power Loveseat.I am 5 foot nine inches tall. All of the furniture was too low to the floor. The queen bed needs a new comforter. The duvet is old and the insert is not working.I purchased and left a good number of toilet paper rolls for the next guess. I ran the dishwasher. Glenda duke

Quaint and quiet

Fri-Sun just wasn’t enough time to spend in this lovely little town in this most welcoming spot. Close to everything and yet everything you needed to feel right at home. I hope our ventures take us back to Summerville and Linwood Cottages.

Family Vacation

This cottage is juat perfect for our family of 4. It was perfectly located and very close to downtown Summerville. Short drive to Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, Isle of Palms, and etc. The cottage had everything we needed and was a nice and peaceful place tonreat after visiting all tourist sites all day. The check-in and check-out process were a breeze and management was very helpful!
