Very clean. Great communication with hosts. Super responsive with questions we had. Fun for all ages at the home, plus minutes away from downtown and Purgatory. Would give it 10/10… even let us rent a van from them. Highly recommend!
This property is beautiful. It is great and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would come back. There were a couple of minor issues. One was that despite it being in the description of the home there is no hottub. One other thing that may have been my misunderstanding, while it does sleep 12 those beds are divided amongst three bedrooms and an exposed loft. Thus if you have separate families who want privacy, it does not sleep as many as advertised unless people are willing to bunk together. Still overall the property is great and i would definitely stay there again.
The house was ideal for our group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen was well equipped and there were all the necessary young kid supplies that make parents’ lives so much easier. The location, yard, and surrounding area was perfect. We’re already eager to go back.
The home was perfect in every way. Great location, and was exactly as the pictures showed. Peaceful neighborhood, and watched the train go by during the day. Durango hot springs is right across the road.
The house was beautiful, and thoughtfully stocked with amenities, towels, etc.
Just perfect for our extended family!
The house is very pretty and big. Great size for our group. Views are fantastic. The couch and beds were comfy and it was fun to have some games and toys provided. Our biggest complaints are that there was some discrepancy over whether there was a hot tub or not (as there used to be but is no longer) and that there is no AC. (I will say the host responded well and cleared up the confusion over the hot tub very satisfactorily). Being from the PNW, we're no strangers to houses not built for AC, however some of the windows didn't open or didn't have screens or had screens with holes or had no curtains, and the house did get quite hot in the late afternoon/early evening (75-80 degrees per thermostat). One bedroom (master) did have a wall AC unit and we wished the other 2 bedrooms would have had that as well.
Overall we enjoyed the location. Train going by every morning was exciting for our grandchildren. Owner was very responsive to questions. The price seemed a bit high for home, finishes and no a/c but that is probably due to Covid. Garage with pool table and spa was a bit unusual also. Overall we enjoyed our stay though and the home worked well for our needs. Thank you.

I’m glad you overall enjoyed the stay and I appreciate your reflective sentiment. We try to price our place based on competitive properties and on the fact that it is a large home with plenty of comfortable beds for large groups. We actually had the rates discounted for your last minute reservation, so I’m glad you did not pay full price if you thought your price was high.
I am an avid pool player and my family/friends and I enjoy using the garage as a game room. It is heated for the winter and nice in the summer. It has a sonos speaker, hot tub, pool table, dart board, 65’ hd tv and seating for a fun time. The driveway easily fits 3 vehicles and has regular scheduled snow removal in the winter.
Most properties in Colorado were not architecturally designed to have AC systems, but we do have a gigantic attic fan that creates a strong draft to pull in cooler air. from outside. The only rooms in the house that warm up on a hot summer day are the two upstairs bedrooms, but they are able to instantly cool down at night when the fan is activated.
This house was perfect for our family and friends, plenty of room, amazing views, and the location couldn't be better! We will definitely come back here again!
Came up for the weekend and the property was perfect. Quiet neighborhood with plenty of space for the kids to play outside and just a short drive back to enjoy downtown Durango!
The property was very clean. There are plenty of towels and linens. There were some toys/games for the kids. The kitchen is well appointed. The location is on a golf course. The lawn is very well kept. There is plenty of outdoor space. The train can be seen from the windows. Deer were on property almost every day we were there. The host responds quickly. He even sent a list of local things to do! My granddaughter asked if we could come back before we even left.
This on-the-golf-course property was a perfect location between Purgatory (where we skied) and the town of Durango (where we ate and played after skiing). Off in the distance on the other side of the golf course, we were able to see the steam train go by in the daytime through the many massive windows on the backside of the house. Very charming! The home is extremely well appointed with lovely furnishings, a wonderful hot tub in the heated garage and the easiest to start gas fireplace ever! All you have to do is flip a switch and the heat it puts out is impressive. We cooked a couple of meals in the home and had all the cookware / bakeware we needed. The laundry room was very convenient and even had a large washtub in it. The beds were very comfortable and it was very easy for all 7 people to spread out and have their own space. At the end of a ski day, we had plenty of hot water for everyone to take showers without having to wait for there to be more hot water. Dallas was very responsive and super easy to communicate with. He provides a mini-van for you to drive around for an extra fee if you need an extra vehicle during your stay or if you fly into town. This place is a gem and the best VRBO we have stayed at in all the years we have been skiing.
