True and full oceanfront condo with a lanai (balcony) that almost hangs over the beach. See the ponds below where the turtle and the eels want to come and feed. Let the sounds of the sea make you sleep after a day of sightseeing or relaxation. Both the bedroom and living room face the sea, where dolphins can be seen all year round and whales in season.

Hale Kona Kai is an intimate, absolute oceanfront complex of 39 one-bedroom condos. Located on the outskirts of Kona City, it is off the main road providing calm, ocean-view relaxation from every module. Located just south of Royal Kona Resort, excellent dining at Huggo's or Don Beachcomber's is a two-minute walk away and some other restaurants are just a pleasant stroll away. The white sand of Honl's Beach is less than a quarter-mile south and the Kona Farmer's Market half a mile north.

The complex offers an elevator that provides convenient access for all. On the ocean side, you'll find a heated saltwater swimming pool and a grill on the south end of the complex. There are laundry machines available on each level.

Each unit includes designated parking, safe WIFI, Central Air Conditioning & cable TV. Both units, like Lanais, are non-smoking and Hale Kona Kai is non-smoking.

Awesome Location
Wonderful view from the deck, over crashing waves below. Very short walk to Kona. Parking very convenient and covered. Comfortable bed and nice to wake up with a view of the ocean.

The location was perfect for walking to town for dinner and experiencing the farmers market, historical buildings, and a nice small beach. There were a few items that needed attention and we let the rental company know. Otherwise, we had a nice stay.

Walkable distance to many restaurants. This is a positive, as the parking lots charge $15.00 an hour! Furnishing in this condo are very dated, but updated kitchen and bathroom are nice. Being situated right next to the roaring surf is wonderful.

Best Location- a lot going for it…..but…
First of all let me say, we ourselves are Vacation rental owners. We know our guest expect a certain degree of accommodation and convenience. We are sorry to say - but the bed was terribly uncomfortable and hard. It could have used a good memory foam topper to help. There were OFF Gasses from the SEWER (Smelly) in the kitchen. Just walking past the sink made me want to gag. There were some nice updates to the kitchen (countertops, cabinets ) and the bathroom. Due to the compact size of the bathroom there is only 1/2 door on the shower which guarantees the shower spray will soak the rug, wall and flooring. The unit we stayed in - though clean was Musty and smelly. The ceiling fans only had One speed which was not convenient as we had to keep them off or on for short periods of time due to noise and air flow. THE UPSTAIRS GUESTS/PEOPLE were Rudely Noisy at all hours stomping across the floors, moving furniture and running around. The noise echoed through our unit. The staff was helpful. The views were amazing and the location great. The parking stalls are extremely tight and narrow, and tricky to maneuver with a SUV. We did enjoy our stay in Kailua Kona, but not necessarily due to the Vacation rental itself.
