HIGH TIDE and GOOD VIBES
This place is awesome! It is as close as you can get to the water without getting wet. Seriously, the house sits on stilts ....above the water line at high tide. It is very relaxing just listening to the waves splashing on the shore.. Be prepared for adventure getting there. It is worth the effort. The fireplace is great to take the chill off if it's cold out. Relax in front of the big bay window and just watch the water all day. We watched the water birds diving and saw a seal each day. This place is so close to the city, though it was very quiet and secluded. No traffic noise. Vince communicated just the right amount and you can tell he cares that you have a great time. Thanks for that. I'll be back!

Loved being on the water.
Our family of four loved our time at this location. Being on the water was one of the highlights of our trip. We took most mornings slow and enjoyed a cup of coffee out on the deck and saw multiple seals swim by. Close enough to the city to participate in some tourist attractions, but removed enough to not feel busy or crowded. I appreciated the heads-up from some previous reviews about the distance for parking and the composting toilet, but neither of these were a deterrent for our family and didn’t cause any inconvenience or problems at all. The one thing that left us feeling a little less welcome - which was not on the host at all - was as we entered the neighborhood there were multiple anti-vacation rental signs in some of the yards and driveways. Immediately when we parked, we were greeted by a resident who was actually very kind and helpful and eased some of our worries. Beds were very comfortable. Television and Wi-Fi worked great. We really liked the opportunity to explore the beach when it was low tide. After seeing some of my photos and comments on this property, I’ve had multiple friends ask for the listing information. We would definitely stay here again.

So bad I actually found another place to stay.
Poor directions to the place which was frustrating. No parking.. Once you figure out you have to take the path to get there it has all the charm of a Brazilian fa-vela with all the barking dogs and smell of urine along the way. The interior was nice but it was a hot midsummer day and in the rental it was around 80 degrees. There was no fans or central air.. the upstairs (sleeping quarters) was extremely hot, I'd say easily 90 plus degrees. There were no fans anywhere in the place.. I ended up taking a mattress and throwing it out on the deck so I could sleep. The next morning I went in to take a shower and as I was soaping up... the hot water ran out so I got to finish my shower cold.. it lasted all of 3 minutes.. not even kidding. 3 minutes of hot water. Composting toilet stinks and was full of flies.. We were scheduled to stay 3 nights but it was honestly so bad I found a hotel room elsewhere and skipped night 2 and 3. I've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals in my travels an this is among the worst.

Amazing location
Really loved the location of this house. I could sit on the porch for hours. Amazing views from the windows. Saw multiple seals, an otter and birds. Worked well for our family and our dog. (Only slight downside was the composting toilet which we didn't love, but seems to be necessary.) Highly recommend staying here.

Puget Sound Beach Home
This property was right on the sound. As the tide came in the water literally washed below the house. The setting was spectacular - sunsets, beach walks, and sea otters swimming by daily. Parking is a short walk away and the compost toilet took some getting use to, but everything was clean and well cared for. Gorgeous accommodations that suited our family adventure well! Anne
