This is a clean, attractive little apartment, well stocked with amenities, above a garage in a beautiful, calm neighborhood in northeast Tacoma. Barry is a very helpful and communicative host, and we highly recommend the place for others.

This little bungalow was a perfect launching point for all my activities in the area. Very comfortable, very quiet, and easy access. The bed was comfy, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the little kitchenette was great for making a cup of coffee or a quick snack. Most important to me, the hosts were excellent communicators and very helpful in planning my travel. Would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area!

Barry and Shannon were great! The cute bungalow was just right for my partner and I to stay at during the holiday weekend. Restaurants and the nearest city are near. The view is gorgeous with boats and the ferry on the water. We watched the sunsets and sunrises.on the patio. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy the nice view.

Great little place!

Perfect for one person or two. The view is awesome. They have a cute little patio. I had one little issue with the shower and Barry was right on it and came to get it fixed. I would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic little property with beautiful views of the Sound. Loved not being in the craziness that is downtown Seattle, but it was a close enough drive the distance for the concert at Climate Change Arena wasn't a big deal. Barry is great with communication. I would absolutely stay here again.

It was one of the best apartments we have stayed in and after doing a 5 month road trip earlier this year we’ve stayed in many. The attention to details is wonderful, it was cozy with a stunning ocean view and a spacious bathroom. It has all that’s needed for a short. Barry and his partner are very gracious hosts and their correspondence was always immediate. We will definitely be back as our family live very close. Thank you.

Perfect for the two of us!

The Browns Point Mini Bungalow was just perfect for my wife and I on our visit to spend time with our daughter, son-in-law and new grandson! Barry is an awsome host and very responsive with all our needs. Clean and easy to find in a very nice neiborhood. Beautiful views of Puget Sound from the kitchenette window and private deck. Here’s the good: Super clean-It was obvious they put effort into cleaning. Nice extras (coffee, water, soap, shampoo, etc)Information from host was spot on for check in and any needs we had. Beautiful location close to eating/small market. Super Comfy mattress (this is a huge plus)During our visit, it was hot at night (most of year wouldn’t be an issue, but it was hottest three days of year and this location didn’t have a/c) If you’re taller than 6ft, the shower is a challenge. Not terrible, but my guy did bump his head a couple times. Overall, this was a great location, a great host, and we enjoyed our stay.

It was great dealing with Barry. The place could use some deep cleaning (dust in bedroom, baseboards). The hardest challenge for us was the slanted roof in the bedroom and bathroom and the steps going up to the bungalow. I think it would really help to let people know about the slanted roof in the bedroom and bathroom...especially if they're older and over 5' tall. Other than that, it was a cute place with a lovely view of the sound out the kitchen window.

Extraordinary

Warning: this place is tiny and low. If that doesn’t bother you, you’ll have a pleasant stay. Most of the fortunate is “vintage” and there are construction blemishes that make the place feel a little homely. It’s still great. The hosts crammed it with all sorts of supplies. When you first arrive you find it’s an extraordinary place.

If you are over 6', you need fast wifi, or you plan to do a lot of your own cooking, this spot is ABSOLUTELY NOT for you. I'm 6'0 on the dot, and I smashed my head into the ceiling pretty much every time I used the bathroom. Aside from that, this place was perfect. The view from the patio was incredible. The host was very friendly, accommodating, and open to communication. The fact that it's close enough to walk down to the lighthouse is also a really nice touch. I also tried walking to Dash Point, but that really wasn't doable by walking, so I called an Uber, which was only about a 10 trip and worth every penny. The Uber trips into downtown Tacoma were a fair bit pricier, but given how expensive *everything* is in the area, it's nothing that I think would blindside anyone. Overall, if I came back here, I would definitely choose this spot again over a hotel... as long as I still don't need internet for anything beyond Spotify and YouTube.
