Secluded cabin in Red River Gorge with a Hot Tub and wi-fi

Conveniently located to all the attractions and eating in the area. Only less than 1 mile to the iconic Nada Tunnel.
Wanderland cabin is a one bedroom with a loft. It has one king size bed and two queen size beds. Enjoy the gas log fireplace, Jacuzzi, Wi-Fi, Roku internet TV and the hot tub on the large deck. There is good cell phone reception available. Sit on the porch while you grill out and take in nature. Front wheel drive required. It is set in the woods with a wooded view.
There are a steep black top hill and a paved driveway. Front wheel drive required and 4-wheel drive recommended in the winter.
Not motorcycle friendly.
Maximum 1 pet. No pets are allowed to be unattended in the cabin unless crated.

We enjoyed that we was close to the hiking trails and sites. The area had a lot to explore and the drive to get to places was not far. People were nice and welcoming. It would be a tough climb to get to the cabin without an SUV or Truck but we enjoyed our stay. It was secluded and relaxing.

We loved the cabin. It was very clean, cute, and cozy! The bed was really comfortable and Leslie and Mike were so nice! We will definitely be renting from them now on!

There is a lot to say about this cabin. I gave it 5 stars because overall it was pretty good. An honest review would be 4.5. First the good- it is secluded so if that’s what you’re looking for this is the cabin for you. The cabin is older but we didn’t mind. We were there for rest and seclusion. The host (the cabin rental company) were very accommodating. We went to the rental office during our stay and the staff worked diligently to fulfill our request for a pan to cook with. The cabin does provide very basic small cookware but if you plan on doing serious cooking, i suggest bringing your own. The coffee maker works but the carafe and handle are mismatched so i suggest bringing you own as well. The cabin was as described. Lots of towels available. The hot tub was nice and the outdoor grill was functional (make sure you have foil to cover it) The secluded location comes with trade offs. If you don’t have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle, I recommend you rent one to access this property. The grade/incline is very steep and not paved- could be considered treacherous (if you’re me) if not navigated properly. We had no issues because we have a Ford Expedition 4x4 and my husband is a master driver (glad it was him driving and not me). Overall this was a great place, the folks in the cabin rental office were amazingly friendly and i would definitely recommend. We hope to use them again very soon.

Birthday getaway

We loved this property! We had so much fun hiking around the cabin. Management was friendly and quick to respond on getting the WiFi working. Highly recommend this cabin if you like secluded and relaxing. Great proximity to all the big trailhead and of course nada tunnel! Husband and I will definitely be renting again!

Could use some updating and tlc. Wasnt a issue but there was only enough seat place for 3 people to watch tv. All in all it was fine and we enjoyed our stay.

Great place!

We had a wonderful weekend at Wanderland. Everything was great. Finding the place was rough because there are no signs and you have to go up a very steep road that looks more like a creek bed. Our minivan made it, but it was rough. It's a very peaceful setting and conveniently located as far as hiking trails in the RRG.

There was no hot water going to the jacuzzi tub although there was hot water at both sinks and the shower. We warmed water in pots on the stove to fill the tub just to find that the jets dont work. The electric heater sitting inside the fireplace (the actual fireplace is inoperable) could not be used as there was no outlet to plug the heater into, the TV or internet would have to be unplugged. When we lifted the lid on the hot tub, the smell of the water was enough to tell us we were not getting in, it smelled stagnant. Overall, the cabin was clean outside of the mouse droppings on the counter and the huge spiders. To be fair, the cabin is in the woods and pests would be expected. The deck and stairs are pretty sketchy, the deck is bowed under the hot tub and the steps aren't safe. We booked for 2 nights but only stayed for 1, we did get a refund for the 2nd night.
