SEASIDE VILLA MANATEE BAY in quiet location on Pine Island

Enjoy the Island Life in our sun filled vacation home located off Manatee Bay, just north of Saint James City on Pine Island. The home is in a quiet and friendly neighborhood located on wide canal with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. The waters here provide some of the finest fishing in the world and are a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers.
Pine Island Sound & the intercostal waterway are a quick boat ride as well as the famous beaches of Sanibel & Captiva Island, Cayo Costa and Boca Grande. Store your boat in our covered lift and enjoy the excellent fishing available right from the dock. Dolphins and manatees regularly work their way up and down the canal and a nature preserve is located across the street.
The open floor plan of this nearly 2,000 square foot home offers four bedrooms and three full bathrooms—easily accommodating up to 8 guests. Both master suites include king size beds, have ensuite bathrooms with walk in showers and direct access to the large screened in lanai. The third bedroom has a queen size bed and the fourth bedroom has two twin size beds. Choose to eat at the breakfast bar with granite countertop, in the dining area or outside at the table in the lanai. A full size washing machine and dryer are also available in the laundry room. Lightning fast wi-fi is free for our guests and located throughout the home as well as smart TVs for your use with streaming services or local HD antenna channels.
This is a southern exposure home (which means you have sun throughout the day in the lanai and pool area). Enjoy our heated pool for a swim or lounge in the sun on one of the chaise lounge chairs. In the lanai you will find a gas grill for cooking as well as a propane fire pit table that creates a cozy feel in the evening hours to watch the sunset.
Three kayaks and two bicycles are also available for our guests to use. A paved biking trail is located at the end of Manatee Drive and runs the length of Pine Island (16 miles). Kayaking in the Pine Island Sound and Matlacha Pass offers beautiful scenery—towering mangroves, elegant trees and hidden waterways. Paddle among dolphins and manatees. Bring your fishing poles and pursue the next snook, snapper, redfish or trout.
The list of activities is endless in this island paradise.
• Take the ferry to the state park at Cayo Costa Island or to Cabbage Key and enjoy a Cheeseburger in Paradise.
• Visit the arts community—explore the galleries and dine in one of the ocean view restaurants.
• Enjoy a day trip to one of the beautiful shelling beaches on Sanibel or Captiva.
• Plenty of fishing and kayak tours, sunset cruises and pier fishing opportunities.
There is also plenty of parking for vehicles, boat trailers and even a power outlet for your RV.
There is a boat ramp just a few minutes away and you are also welcome to use the boat lift at the house.

The house was immaculate. Kitchen had all supplies we needed. We did bring our own fish filleting knives and seasonings. The canal and boat dock was perfect! Property manager was very responsive. We had no issues while there but he did return our call immediately upon check in and check out. This area is quiet and perfect for relaxation. I have never felt more rested. The island itself seems like the best kept secret. If bringing boat, I do recommend filling it up if you use regular unleaded. The Monroe Canal Marina was perfect for launching the boat. They also had frozen and live bait. Everything you could possibly need.

Great house in a quiet neighborhood

The house was perfect and in excellent condition. It was roomy and had all the amenities. It was also great to have a boat lift in the back yard as well as a pool to cool down in. Property manager was also extremely responsive and was a pleasure to interact with. We didn't want to leave.

The description of this perfect house is spot on. House, pool and lawn extremely clean! If your looking for a house that is welcoming and bringing your boat this house is perfect for your trip. House sits on the canal that opens up to the gorgeous gulf. The manager of the property super friendly and goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect for your stay of the home!!! Summer Vacation

House was clean and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were friendly. The pool was great. Very big dock with a boat lift was very convenient. Caught lots of fish from the dock. The house comes with 3 nice kayaks and 2 bikes. Island is still recovering from the hurricane but most businesses have reopened. Nice quiet laid back island with no commercialization. Would definitely stay here again.

Property is not well kept. Ants in guest bathroom. Pool was cloudy and needs a resurfacing. Asked what if we run out of paper towels or toilet paper. Since they give you one, they said this isn't a hotel buy it yourself.

The property had everything needed and was clean when we arrived. Except the trash outside. The trash cans were full and we were asked to take them down for trash day. Not a problem but the maggots that were all over the can were disgusting. We also didn’t like the fact that we have quite a few visits it a from the property manager or handy man. Unfortunately, the boat lift didn’t work and when it doesn you have to stick a screw driver in. Needs to be repaired. The house was fine and the pool was lovely but just not for us again. The check in Appt and check out appt kind of did us in. Never had to deal with anyone in the property during most other stays we’ve had anywhere.

Beautiful location with great amenities

Was the relaxing, peaceful place my family needed. The amenities were endless from kayaking and cycling to sitting on the waterfront dock watching porpoises swim by at sunrise. We were able to grill (would recommend updating the grilling utensils) fresh food and have a wonderful time eating poolside . Just make sure you use the bug spray they have provided. No see ums(small mosquitos) are very active and go through the screened pool area. Only issue we had was with the hot tub looking green and having white flakes/amphibians in/near it. It was communicated that the green is the natural color of the hot tub but we weren’t sure what the flakes were so we didn’t end up using it for anything more than dipping our feet in. It was pretty hot anyways. Check in and check out was more old fashioned where someone did it in person, but we liked getting to meet some of the friendly property managers (Thomas and Marcus) . Overall wonderful experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Perfect get away for a couple or family looking for a more remote vacation home while still having access to grocery stores like winn Dixie and Publix. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Great SW Florida Property!

Great property with perfect layout for two families with kids. We enjoyed the pool and amenities and the property was incredibly clean. The dual masters each have walk out bathrooms to the pool area, providing easy and quick access to the restroom or jump in the shower (without tracking water through the house). The canal was wonderful and perfect for out boat rental. We enjoyed it and would highly recommend this property.

The Manatee House delivers!

My sister and family friends stayed at the Manatee House from 6/10 to 6/20 and could not have enjoyed ourselves more! The home is exactly as depicted in the photos except that the angles make everything look bigger than they really are, but at just over 2000 sq ft, with 2 masters and 2 additional bedrooms, there was plenty of space. As an avid home cook, I usually bring along lots of my own cooking supplies and equipment but found the kitchen to be extraordinarily well-equipped for a vacation rental. We cooked every day. The beds are very comfortable, and the home was very clean. The pool area and the canal are as pictured and present a beautiful view. Please don't swim in the canal. Not only is there a possibility of alligators in the water but we also saw a number of juvenile bull sharks! My best friend caught what he called a "trophy red fish" right off the dock. The wireless service at the house is fast and consistent throughout. The "Samsung Plus" television service is a little odd - we could have watched "Dr G - Medical Examiner" or "Kitchen Nightmares" 24/7 if we'd wanted to, but there is access to a number of streaming services, and we were able to hook up my laptop to the TV to see the Tampa Bay Rays games. The home is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood off the main road. The biggest threat was the squadrons of mosquitos and no-see-ums, but you can get that anywhere in Florida. Daily heat indices of 105-106 degrees kept us indoors most days but that was no hardship in this beautiful home! I can't say enough good about this home and about our host, Thomas. He was instantly available by phone and is clearly customer-service-oriented and eager to please. The Manatee House truly delivered what was promised and even exceeded our expectations. We hope to be able to return some day to relive this most pleasant get-away!

A Hidden Cozy Gem!

Overall the house was great. It is a-little secluded, 7 minutes to the closest pharmacy. My husband and i were skeptical due to little reviews but we are very happy we went for it. If i could change one thing it would DEFINITELY be the check in and check out process. My husband and i have rented many homes in different states and never had to actually schedule for the home owner to come to the home so we can sign to check in and check out. We usually like to go on vacation and not deal with anyone! That is why we look for self, check ins. Which in this case, it was different. But i will say owners were very pleasant when greeting us and were very helpful with any questions or concerns we had so we thank you for allowing us into your home! For a very well needed get-away from our 3 kids and 2 dogs!

Wonderful property

This property is clean and provides all of the resources you may need for your Florida vacation: plenty of towels for pool/beach, beach chairs, portable cooler, kayaks, life jackets, bikes, washer/dryer and access to the garage to park your car. Seaside rental company was attentive, polite and professional. We had a lovely stay. Thank you!
