Our Hale Kai O Kihei (‘ha-lay-ky o ‘kee-hay) condo offers breathtaking ocean views. On the private lanai, you can enjoy the tranquil sounds of the ocean and view the amazing year-round sunsets. There are also miles of sandy, un-crowded beach directly in front of the condo, excellent for morning and evening walks.

The beachfront location and amazing ocean views are comparable to what you would find at the nicest resort. But, at our condo, you will have privacy, your own private lanai, and is fully equipped for your comfort and enjoyment. Our condo has a private 1 bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an updated bathroom with a new tile shower and vanity with granite. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for all your cooking needs. The living room, which opens to the outside lanai, comes with a new sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress, ceiling fan, & AC unit. The high-speed internet provides an average of 63 Mbps download and 7.31 Mbps upload.

Hale Kai O Kihei’s many amenities include a pool, shuffleboard area, and gas grill barbeques. Laundry facilities are also conveniently located on the property.

The condo location is on a quiet residential street just one block from the Times Market (formerly Star Market) and the Azeka Shopping Center in Kihei. You are within walking distance of retail stores in Azeka Shopping Center, grocery stores, shopping, and great restaurants (Nalu's, Pizza Madness, Coconuts, Fabianno’s, Fork & Salad, & Amigo’s – to name a few). Within walking distance, you will find 2 fitness centers to choose from, a yoga studio, and the Kihei Aquatic Center (lap swimming & water aerobics) for all your fitness needs. There are also beauty salons & nail salons within shopping complexes and a post office, dive shop, scooter rentals, ATMs, and banks. You will find a farmer’s market open every Saturday and an open-air craft market & gift items available daily. Kihei Rent-A-Car is nearby, and they offer shuttle service to and from the airport.

Depending on swell direction, you can enjoy surfing & stand-up paddling in front of the condo complex, and with steady trade winds, windsurfing, and kiteboarding!

For any medical needs you may have, there are a few outpatient medical clinics nearby.

Public transit is one block from the complex. The condo is only a short 10-minute drive to Wailea & a 20-minute drive to Kahului International Airport.

Please note: There are no elevators at this complex. We are on the 2nd floor.

Great stay

We've stayed at Hale Kai O'Kihei twice before and this is by far the best unit we've rented. Very nicely finished and we'll furnished with all the little items that set it apart from others. They provided everything, from a blender to boogie boards. It will be our first choice of units from here on out.

Nice condo with spectacular ocean view!

We really enjoyed staying here. It’s just steps from the beach ( with gentle waves and shallow water - our kids loved it). The view from the balcony is just gorgeous - we spent so much time just sitting there and enjoying the view ( especially sunsets!) the hosts are nice and responsive. A handwritten note upon our arrival was a nice touch!

Wonderful stay in Kihei

We had a fantastic stay, this was the perfect home base during our trip to Maui. The views are unbeatable and the condo itself was very clean. It was stocked with everything we needed and had a comfortable bed. The location is convenient as well, just a short walk or drive to restaurants in the Kihei area and easy access to Wailea. We can’t wait to come back!

Best VRBO!

This was truly the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. The place was stocked with everything. We loved the extra thought that went into little things, like the wonderful coconut soap and shampoo, the Bushnell binoculars for whale watching, etc. We loved our time there.

Joe and Roopa’s Condo was just perfect for our visit to Maui. The condo is in beautiful condition, fully stocked and then some! The location and the beach front view and access was everything we’d hoped for! We would absolutely return and recommend!

Fantastic Condo

This was our 5th year staying in this same unit. It is well stocked with beach chairs and amenities for use at the beach. You can’t beat the location. Bed is comfortable and the condo is well maintained. Highly recommend this condo.

Beautiful and clean unit! Had all the amenities we could need. Watched whales off the balcony as we enjoyed morning coffee. Enjoyed walks on the beach to see sea turtles. Great text message communication to access door code and info in the unit on the area and places to eat!

Kihei vacay

Perfectly situated oceanfront/beachfront property with amazing sunset views and helpful neighborhood amenities such as grocery store and restaurants. The rental was clean and nicely decorated with thoughtful touches of Hawaii. There was a welcome basket filled with high end goodies and water in the refrigerator. The hosts thought of everything to make our stay memorable and comfortable. Thank you!!!

Perfect Location!!!

You’d be hard pressed to find a better location, in my opinion. So close to AMAZING restaurants. The views are unbeatable!! We LOVED whale watching and the sunsets!!! For my husband and I it was a wonderful getaway! There could have been more towels, both hand towels in bathroom and there weren’t any towels at all in the kitchen for drying dishes or wiping down counters except for paper towels, which seemed odd and could have been overlooked by cleaning staff. Overall highly recommended and would definitely return in the future!!

Gorgeous views and a great place!

The property was exactly as pictured. Great amenities, nice kitchen, comfortable bed, nice beach chairs/towels/boogie boards etc. and right on the beach. It was also very close to restaurants and groceries. Just an overall comfortable condo. The view of the ocean was beautiful-we spent so much time on the lanai watching the sunrise and sunsets and looking for whales-and we saw quite a few! The owners were responsive and the whole process was easy! They even left us some goodies to welcome us :) We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Maui Vacation

The views!!! We stayed on our deck for all 11 nights of sun sets, and even saw the full moon set on the water in the early morning. The newly remodeled bathroom was very well done and the unit was in great shape with a wonderful modern Hawaiian feel. The hosts were great and responsive by text or call anytime. We will be back. The condo is equipped with all kitchen needs and nice outdoor BBQ. They supplied all the beach equipment you could want. The complex is very well maintained, clean and safe. What a great trip we will be back. Look no further great for a couple or a family with 1 or 2 small kids. Thanks Mahalo!

Overall I had a good experience here, but a poor checkout experience. The location is good, close to the beach. The proximity to the supermarket was nice, but I still ended up driving to most places, they were slightly too far too far to walk home. I didn’t enjoy being kicked out the apartment sharply at the 10:00 am check out time. I felt very rushed and unwelcome when the host entered the rental at 10:01 am. I felt very negative as I was leaving the apartment. It was like I was being evicted. I had to pack alongside the house cleaning lady, which I did not want. I would have appreciated the host giving more leeway, 10:00 am is an extremely early check out time, and no rental I’ve ever been to tries to kick you out of your living space so aggressively at checkout time. In the hospitality business, I think it’s inappropriate to be so strict with guests, especially those who are wrapping up to go home. Overall, good but I expected a little better.

Location, location, location

They say location is everything in real estate. The same applies true to this condo. The location of this unit is one of the best for sunsets from your own lanai. The overall complex is quiet, well maintained, and adjacent to a great beach where you might even see turtles on the sand. The unit is comfortable for 2 people and this was our third time staying here. Unfortunately, the new owners have made some changes that we did not find to be an improvement. The bathroom remodel removed most of the counter space and all the storage. There is a wire towel holder that they placed by the sink but it does not include a solid surface so there is no place to put your personal items. Also, they removed the dresser from the bedroom and there is no place to unpack your clothes other than hanging them. The nightstands were small tables that also did not include any drawer space. The sliding glass door to the lanai is quite outdated and hard to slide. The louvered windows to either side don’t open to let breezes in. These really could use an update to improve the experience. Roopa, the owner was responsive and helpful and even brought us clean sheets and towels halfway through our 10 night stay. She also helped us with a late checkout which was much appreciated. Item to note: As noted by another guest, you will have to pay 100% of the rental fee at the time of booking (we have never had to do this before). We booked a year in advance.

It was exactly as pictured- just a few steps and you are on the beach! Enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the balcony every night. A great location to visit all that Maui has to offer! This place was amazing. It was so quiet and relaxing. The Lani right on the beach was our favorite place to sit and drink our coffee in the morning and then watch the sunset in the afternoon. Thank you so much for the wonderful place to stay!

Beyond amazing!

This condo is perfect in every way! Beach access was super easy and close with an outstanding view for watching sunsets from the lanai. This is the single best I have ever seen a VRBO stocked...with beach towels and chairs, dishes, cookware and spices...even great soaps in the bathroom and multiple fans. We felt like we hit the jackpot with this find!

Epic location and view

Our stay in Kihei was nothing short of spectacular. The view from the property was absolutely breathtaking—truly an incredible location. The property team was also a joy to work with, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free. Although the unit didn't have a washer and dryer (but avail onsite), this minor detail was easily overshadowed by the overall amazing experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable stay in Kihei.

The reason why my wife and I chose to buy at Hale Kai O Kihei was due to our love of the ocean. This is truly what Hawaii is about, a beautiful coconut grove with a sandy beach on the waters edge, away from the hustle and bustle. Of course, facing West for the most amazing sunsets, we are truly blessed.
