About this property
Le Verger - Paris L'hopital
Bernadette & Christian (retired winegrower, passionate oenophile who still operates a mini vineyard for pleasure, whose small private "educational museum" dedicated to wine and vines you can visit on site), welcome you to a charming village house 18th century carefully restored & steeped in history (former outbuilding of the elegant neighboring mansion they occupy), nestled in peace on the edge of a small alley & edge of meadow, in the heart of a peaceful picturesque village vineyard of the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, founded in the 13th century by the Templars of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. Nestled in the hollow of the gentle green valley of the Cozanne, at the foot of three "belvedere" mountains all culminating at an altitude of more than 500m - including the "Mountain of the Three Crosses", a preserved area classified as a "natural park" offering an exceptional panorama 360° - adjoining the magnificent vineyards of Maranges & Couchois, this small "postcard" town has a literally sublime hilly landscaped setting, a succession of sumptuous hillsides of vineyards, meadows & wooded hills. Rural & natural setting of great beauty, soothing & relaxing. Comfortable cottage. Warm country character with contemporary accents enhanced by careful heritage restoration (old stone walls & lintels, fireplace mantle, original beams & ceilings, etc.). Lots of charm & character. Pleasant exposed & shaded private garden (located close by). Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside from the sheltered mini balcony. Composition: Detached house neighboring the owners' home (total independence without vis-à-vis). Wireless. Electric heating. Washing machine in cellar. Raised ground floor (6 steps): living room-kitchen, bedroom-living room (double bed 140x190cm), shower room (shower/WC). Sheltered balcony + private garden (10m away / access by lane). Easy free public parking on site. All amenities 5 km. Stay as a couple nestled in the belly of Paris! Lovely, carefully restored 18th century village house nestled in a peaceful setting in the heart of a peaceful, picturesque wine-growing village in the famous Hautes Côtes de Beaune, located 5 km from the charming spa and shopping town of Santenay (numerous shops and services, recreation & casino on site). Sumptuous surrounding landscaped setting, nestled in the middle of the hilly & hilly countryside, in the hollow of the bucolic Cozanne valley topped with sublime hillsides of vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see, between meadows & wooded hills. Ultra-privileged location adjoining the circuit of Romanesque churches & the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" (crossing the mythical wine-growing villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, etc.), on the routes of the greenway (connected to EuroVélo6) , the wine route, the superb GRP "Au Fil des Vignobles et Vallées" (connected to the GR7, GR76 & GR137), several marked hiking trails in "green walks" (winding between vineyards & nature), 5 km the "La Voie des Vignes" cycle route (36 km among the vineyards of the Grand Crus of Burgundy, the most famous in the world) & a referenced "favorite" cycling loop of 24 km, and 10 km from two ports pleasure craft linked to the central canal ("The Quiet River", a navigable route to discover during a boat trip or on foot). Beaune & the Côtes Chalonnaises, at the crossroads of the Côte d'Or & the magnificent territories of Chalonnais, Pays Beaunois, Autunois and Morvan (& its Natural Park). 10 km from Chagny (& its river marina), 24 km from Beaune, 28 km from Le Creusot (famous Combes amusement park / Creusot TGV station 27 km), 30 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (certified "City of Art and History"), 32 km from Autun ("City of Art and History", rich in an invaluable heritage covering more than 2000 years of human presence) and 56 km from Tournus as of the famous Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Bibracte labeled "Grand Site de France". The perfect spot for all wine & nature lovers! Absolutely magical landscapes!
