AWESOME GET AWAY STAY

The house was perfect, it had plenty of privacy on the bottom porch area that made it special. Within walking distance to the beach. Spacious, clean, and a great relax fell.

Wonderful place to stay!

We had a beautiful family and friend vacation at this property and would definitely stay again. Our only issue was that our queen bed in the non-master bedroom would sink in the middle when both my husband and I laid in it. Other than that small detail, everything was clean, well stocked and all amenities were much appreciated.

Convenient and Cozy

Loved the location! Check- in process was so easy. Home is spacious enough and swimming on site swimming pool was great. Beds were a little too stiff for us, 3 guests choose to sleep on the couches instead. Overall it was a great weekend.

Great home and decorated nicely!

We had only few issues that wanted to make you aware of. The floor was swept but not mopped and was very dirty. Could have used information about the humidifier by the door. Master bed was very hard, not comfortable. Found a dead roach in the kitchen sink. The TV in the living room flickers or the image "rolls". Could be going out. A few pedestal floor fans would have been nice to cool off with. The AC drain at the back of the house was dripping out of the top floor, so the AC could be backing up? The AC vents in the kitchen and living room where pointed straight up at the ceiling, almost closed and we opened them to point into the living space. THAT HELPED!! Overall we are pleased and enjoyed our stay.

Great stay on the Island

Great location* extermination needed

The location was great and the number of rooms was perfect. The overall trip was a success, but we killed over 10 roaches while staying there and did not sleep very well knowing my children could very well have one in their bed with them at night.

Overall a good stay.

We stayed Friday through Sunday and enjoyed our time there. We did find a few roach droppings in kitchen drawers and bathroom but nothing major. Rooms are what you see and it fit us 9 perfect. Very easy to access from entry to WiFi and location. Will be back.

Good property

We liked the property, good location. The coffee pot didn’t work which was a bummer and the fenced in area in the back was not well secured, my dogs were able to get under the fence. Both easy fixes. The only other issue we had was a very rude neighbor who made it clear they owned the house next door and they didn’t care to be considerate. Because of that we probably won’t stay at this location again but it is a great neighborhood to stay in if you’re traveling with kids and it’s always a plus when places allow pets.

Overall good couple of serious issues

Property was clean. The utensils were pretty good. There were some very very heavy doors or shutters leaning against the wall in the bunk bed room where our little kids were to sleep. If they had fallen on one of the kids it would have been a horrible accident. It took me and my daughter in law to lay them down and put them under the bed out of the way. The gas grill was literally crumbling because it was rusted so bad. The gas was leaking out everywhere if you tried to light it. MAJOR FIRE hazard! We used the charcoal one instead. This company needs to do better inspections of their property.

Super clean property and excellent location! Great spot to take a group. Kitchen comes with nothing (not even salt or pepper) so would be nice if there were dry goods. Will come back

Jimmy Buffets Get Away

This house was perfect. It was close to the beach and town. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. All the TV's had Roku established with Disney and Netflix. There were horseshoes and other games downstairs with two grills. We will definitely stay at Lost Shaker of Salt again! Cheers!

Not the property for us

Let me start with we were very happy that we were able to get in a couple of hours early. Thank you so much for that. I was disappointed with our stay for a a few reasons. Our Spectrum TV went out after the first day and we had no log in info that would work. The first spoon we pulled out of the caddy on the counter top had dried tomato on it. The shower in the hall for all to use had some serious issues in about 3-4 large spots that looked like serious mold. The king bed in the master suite left me feeling like I had been beaten in my sleep. The final and biggest thing that I was completely disgusted with was the large roach that crawled out from somewhere in the master bath as I was getting out of the shower and ran right into the master bedroom. I have to tell you that I have used VRBO for several (more than 10 years) years now. This stay was not at all what we expected. I know this is not what you want to hear. I am not a complainer, I know there is no "perfect stay" anywhere. There were just too many things this trip.

Great morning side coffee drinking porch!

Great area for small pets, playing shuffleboard, and other yard games while cooking out! The front porch railing is loose (kind of scary). And we didn’t have dishwasher detergent. Other than that a great place for Port A fun in the sun.
