The host was very welcoming and communicative, and the house was clean and nicely furnished. The TV in the living room is a bit small but still good for watching movies, and I liked the comfortable couch with cozy blankets. I would recommend this place to other people looking for a relaxing winter cottage and a convenient place to stay for a ski trip.
I had a lovely stay at this cottage. The house has anything you would need for 1 or multiple visitors. I loved being close to town but it felt like you were in a secluded quaint home. The host was helpful with activities and places to eat and they were very quick to answer any questions I had. I hope to be able to visit again next year.
The cottage was exactly as described; clean and well equipped, and my kids were very excited to play with the children's toys that were available. The property itself is beautiful in a very peaceful and relaxing setting, yet very close to the highway and nearby attractions. The host was very welcoming, responsive and accomodating of all our needs. Will definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay at the Lakeview Cottage. Five college friends stayed for a weekend reunion. The host was very accommodating and showed us around the first night. We enjoyed visiting the Hidden Brook Ranch to pet the alpacas and The Lakota Wolf Preserve. We enjoyed lunch at nearby The Gourmet Gallery and dinner at the Buck Hill Brewery. We loved staying at the farm!
The property was so amazing. We enjoyed hiking the trails, loved watching the sunrise over the pond every morning and sharing coffee with King! We will definitely be back!
Lovely house near a small lake; trails on the property lead to a creak. Nice place to stay with family. Friendly hostess showed us her chickens and gave us farm fresh eggs!
We had such a great stay and Jillian was the perfect host! The house and peaceful vibes were just perfect for our family of 4 plus infant. We were in town for a family reunion and will definitely be looking to come back here in the future. We especially liked relaxing on the outdoor deck and petting the farm cat “King.” It was also a nice surprise to get the farm fresh eggs which we made into delicious omelets for breakfast! Thank you Jillian for making our long weekend so special.
Jillian's property was perfect. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. I was looking for a quiet getaway, and I felt like she respected that, yet I always felt that she was right there if I needed anything. I couldn't have asked for anything more, and I look forward to my next stay there.
Great property, beautiful lake, wonderful animals on premises, super friendly host. We enjoyed this much needed break together after college finals. Great bonding trip.
Absolutely a stay again! This location is close to my family and we don't want to stay anywhere else next time we come north to visit! King was super sweet, and kind enough not to torture our dogs. The property is absolutely beautiful and we got to take a few walks while we were there. The driveway was a little hard to get in and out of, and I missed the turn a few times but but that was likely because I'm not as familiar with the area as I used to be. We can't wait to come back!
This house is a perfect little spot to stay with your family and its dog friendly! We were in the area for a wedding and needed somewhere to stay for a few days and this place was nice and close to 80 so it was easy on and off for travel. Host was very helpful with providing a baby gate and was willing to help out in any way possible.
stayed with my wife and adult daughter to attend my mothers funeral, chose this place over a hotel so everyone would have a place to escape to. great deck over looking lake, when it got chilly the back room with couches is where we watched deer drinking at the lake , multiple birds of prey skimming across surface of the water fishing. outside we were greeted by a friendly cat and a rooster and some hens. we had a great stay

Sorry again for your loss, but so happy to hear your stay was lovely for all of you, and adored the stories about the wildlife you observed and enjoyed. Thank you dearly for sharing and choosing to stay at our property for this trip! :-)
Had a wonderful stay here in Blairstown! Even after a big snowstorm, we had no trouble getting to the property, and had a lovely time exploring the snow covered landscape during our extended weekend stay (and had fun imagining how beautiful it must be in the Spring and Fall). Lots of places to visit in the area for both indoors-y and outdoors-y types, plenty of amenities on the property and the surrounding area, and all the creature comforts you need in this cozy space.
Jillian was super helpful in helping get our unique timing situated. her flexibility ultimately led to us choosing her place over others! The Property and cottage was beautiful and clean. We will definitely coming back again! Thank you!
My adult daughters and I spent three nights and most of two days on this picturesque country property. We took advantage of the trails and interacted with “King” the friendly black and white cat. Honestly, most of our time was spent around the kitchen table just catching up with each other. We had a lovely visit and highly recommend the Lakeview Cottage.
We stayed at the cottage for a quick weekend getaway and it was lovely. It was located no more than 15 minutes from where we needed to go (hiking Jenny Jump State Forest) and the property is very peaceful. Cottage is small--the listing is clear about the basement level having a low ceiling--but it was perfect for our purposes. And my daughter loved meeting the animals. Jillian was welcoming and communicative and sent us home with fresh eggs from her charming chickens. We would definitely stay again.
