We had a great stay at 5 Star High Country Hideaway Cabin. The boys loved playing air hockey and the hot tub. We did have to go on a bit of a search for extra bedding for the pullout sofa & had to borrow pillows from the bedrooms.
Beautiful cabin. Great location! The hot tub was amazing. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone looking for a cabin in this area!

I am so glad you enjoyed your time! We would love to have you visit again!
Cabin in Seven Devils was perfectly located for activities in Boone, Banner Elk, Linville, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock. Very well equipped and very clean. A relaxing stay!
Cabin was the cleanest place we have ever stayed! Property owner was very responsive and so helpful! My entire family loved how cozy the cabin was along with all its amenities! We will never look again for a cabin this area- this will be our go to
Cabin going forward!
We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin in Seven Devils. Very conveniently located between all the ski mountains which is what we came for. The hot tub after a day on the mountain was a big plus. The host was very responsive and quick to address any need we had. Would definitely stay here again!
We spent a wonderful 3 days/nights at this cute little cottage. It was clean and well appointed. The cottage is nicely decorated and the loft has a pool/ping pong/air hockey table that my boys loved. Lovely little cottage! We would most certainly stay here again.
This is a very comfortable and extremely well appointed property. Seven Devils is a great location when visiting the Boone-Banner Elk-Blowing Rock area of North Carolina. I highly recommend this property.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy you enjoyed your time at our property!
We rented this house as a family vacation after Christmas. When we arrived snow was on the ground. The house was exactly as described and pictured. The host was easy to communicate with and made sure all of our needs were met for the entirety of the trip. We would definitely return.
This property was extremely clean and tidy. Even though we went to the store for essentials toilet paper and such, it was stocked with enough supplies for several days. The kitchen was well equipped along with most other household essentials if needed. The host was very nice and easy to contact.
My family really enjoyed our time in Seven Devils. The cabin was great. The kids enjoyed the game table, and we loved roasting marshmallows over the fire (using the fire pit at the cabin). The neighborhood is so conveniently located. Close to hiking, ziplining, Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock. We did a lot of hiking. In fact, one of my favorite hikes was Otter Falls, which is right down the road from the cabin.
We would definitely come back.

The game table is a hit with lots of our guests, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. We love our location and it's convenience to so many wonderful things to do! Thanks to your review I recently hiked Otter Falls for the first time and LOVED it. Hope you all will come back and stay again.
This house is great! The pictures do not fully capture how luxurious it feels inside. It feels like you are staying at a friend’s house, in a good way. The office area was perfect for my remote work. The fireplace was so cozy. The location is great as you can access multiple towns/ski resorts without driving too far. The evergreens make it feel like you are out west. Loved being able to bring our pups. Book it!

Thanks for being our first official guest and treating our home with such care. I’m glad you had a good time and we would welcome you back anytime!
Very nice stay over a busy NYE weekend in the mountains
This cabin is lovely and features all the desired comforts of a home away from home. The owner's holiday decorations were adorable and made for a quaint and cozy (snowy) long weekend over New Year's Eve. The location of this house is very convenient to area attractions, including ski/tubing facilties, groceries, etc. We had some issues with the hot tub while we were there, but the owner was responsive and helped us to get it working again. We loved the warm gas fireplace and the multi-game table in the upstairs loft area. We hope to return sometime soon!
Great cabin with all kitchenware needed for cooking at home and relaxing. Extremely close to hawksnest snow tubing! The two main improvements i would suggest.
1. get a larger bed in the main bedroom. I cant recall what the description of the cabin mentions but it does not seem to be a queen. I would suggest a queen at a minimum.
2. The main floor tub was filled up and we lost all hot water. Dont know what size tank the water heater is, but i would suggest larger or go tankless. Overall a great place to stay for our weekend getaway.

I’m glad you had a good time at our cabin, I’m sorry we did not earn 5 stars from you as you are our only 4 star in years (if ever). We provide plenty of extras and go above and beyond for our guests.
Our listing does in fact let our guests know the size of each bed and it is indeed a luxury queen size mattress.
And yes, the jetted soaking tub is wonderful but the hot water does run out, which is why we provide a tub heater which is in the bathroom drawer for your use. This is also explained in our welcome book.
My family of 4 and my friends family of 4 decided to take a trip for Christmas to North Carolina. We booked the trip about 9 months in advance. Being our 1st time to that area, we were excited. We were in a bind on the way there. There was a horrible polar vortex barreling down and we needed to check in a day early. I contacted Denise and she made that happen with mess than 8 hours notice. We arrived on a Wednesday night. When we woke un Friday Morning, there was a lot of snow. We were stuck in the house for 3 days. Including Christmas day. (Our fault, we forgot to pick up snow chains even after knowing the weather was going to get bad.) Denise checked on us everyday. We lost power for and hour or so and she was on top of that and reported it for us. Lows while there was down to -11 and the wind chill reached -35. The house was so comfortable for all 8 of us throughout all 3 days of being stuck inside. I could go on and on about everything great about the house, but then I would ruin the excitement and surprise for everyone else. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
8 people stuck in a house together for 3 days and one of those days is Christmas and everyone was happy and smiling. That was a trip to remember all because of the prefect mountain rental house in Seven Devils, NC.
The house was located so close to everything. You will not have to drive much to go skiing, hiking, snow tubing, shopping or just stay and enjoy the hit tub and beautiful scenery.

Oh my goodness, I just read this review months later! I’m so very glad your stay was wonderful and it brings me such joy that you all had a wonderful Christmas experience!!
This was one of the best places we have stayed. Great location, beautiful home, lovely hosts!!
We had a great experience renting this place. The owner was very responsive with all my questions before the trip. They gave advice on driving directions and tips for winter weather driving. I can’t say enough of the hospitality that we felt while staying there. The house was clean, organized, and even decorated for the holidays. There was a beautiful Christmas tree in the living room and Christmas decorations throughout the house (even the dinnerware was Christina’s themed). We will surely be scheduling another trip to this cabin with the family. Thanks for making our vacation super special!!

Perfect getaway! Very relaxing and cozy! The loft with the pool table/air hockey with the tv and sofa and futon was a great place for the kids and kept the them entertained. The front porch and back porch was a great way to relax. Also, the kids loved all the huge boulders located near the cabin to climb on! We loved it so much, we extended our stay for a whole week!

I'm so glad you all had a wonderful time and were able to extend your stay. Happy that the game table was put to good use! Hope you all will visit again soon!
The house was clean and cozy. The outdoor area behind the house has a small pond and huge rocks the kids enjoyed climbing on. The location is a short drive to most of the attractions we wanted to visit. We had a great time!
We loved staying here. The location was very convenient to the area attractions and food, and we really enjoyed the Otter Falls trail which is just up the road.

About the host
Hosted by Denise Tabscott
My name is Denise and this is my husband (Chris) and my 3rd short term rental property. We live in middle TN where our other two properties are located so this is our first out of state listing. We love travel and real estate so the short term rental business combines two of our passions.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the Boone, NC area when looking at colleges for our kids. The weather is beautiful, we enjoy good food, shopping, skiing, fishing, hiking and the outdoors so this property is close to all of that! What's not to love?
What makes this property unique
When we purchased this home it had never been a rental so we had to start from scratch. That means our guests get the benefit of brand new (almost) everything! We love our peaceful setting in this small cabin community and love our extra large lot with the pretty view of the meadow and pond.
