The cabin is adorable and the view is spectacular. I loved the sound of the creek just down from the place. The kitchen is well stocked and the shower has plenty of power. The wood burning stove was easy to use and made it extra cozy. My only complaint is the queen bed was a little too firm. It was a lovely weekend away.

Amazing place for a getaway! My family stayed a couple days to ski at Monarch (first time skiing there). The cabin was very clean, cozy, and an amazing view. Loved having the wood stove available in the evenings. Hoping to stay again for more skiing - and to explore the area in the summer.

Great place to stay in the mountains!

We’ve stayed here 3 or 4 times over the years and always love it. Clean, warm and close to Monarch ski area. Love the wood stove!

Great location cabin

Had a great time with our family at this cabin. It was closely located to Monarch for skiing. Love the fireplace and the views will be back again soon.

Convenient Mountain cabin with great access to Monarch

We had a great stay in the cabin. Even with feet of snow it provided us easy (plowed) access to get out to the ski mountain everyday with a cozy home base at night.

Great hiking and beautiful scenery.

Comfortable accommodations in a quaint cabin with the sound of a river lulling you to sleep. Very close to multiple awesome hikes. Close enough to Salida for dinner or groceries.

Beautiful and Remote

We had an excellent time. The cabin was both unique and comfortable. We loved the amazing views and the quiet surroundings!! We were also able to take advantage of the proximity to Salida with all the great food, hiking, and scenery.

Peaceful mountain retreat!

It was an amazing cabin with great history and beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Make sure you read the welcome letter that gives specific directions to get to the house! We enjoyed our stay!

Short drive to the slopes!

This property is perfect for a ski weekend! Its only about 5 minutes from Monarch ski resort. The property was clean and had a great view!

Not very kid friendly. The railings are shaky, and not sturdy (inside and outside). Upon arrival my 5 year old found a large hatchet in the living room. Although, the communication was absolutely amazing. Responded on minutes when needing accommodations made. Thankful for that!

Thanks for staying at this cabin in the woods. We maintain that the house offers a cabin experience. The small hatchet is stored behind the woodstove and is used to cut kindling for the wood you would need to heat the cabin. We hope you enjoyed your time in the mountains and we're happy we were able to accommodate your needs in a timely manner.

Beautiful property made for a great getaway

This cozy remodeled cabin was perfect for our family. We loved the layout of the cabin, and the deck in the back gave us amazing views of the valley. It had all the amenities we could want, and when we needed something, the hosts were quick to respond and easy to work with. Perfect launching point for many of the adventures to be had in Chaffee county!
