I will recommend Donkey Town to everyone. Tonya and Kelly are the best to work with. Kelly was always fast to answer my emails and Tonya was on the grounds if we need anything. She was on it. We had a huge group. To rented both the farmhouse and the barndominium. And our kids, grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews all loved this place ages from 1 to our 60’s.

The team said it was the best preseason camp they have experienced. They loved being able to interact with the animals. The set-up and environment worked out great for the purpose of our trip.

We truly enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of space. They provided unique experiences, petting the donkeys, goats, and sheep, and giving the children opportunities to collect eggs. They also had a geode field where you could collect geodes and provided a place to break them. Overall, we had a fantastic stay.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our time here, the kids were able to run around and be fairly independent which was nice for the adults. The kids really enjoyed interacting with the donkeys!

Farm stay with professional care

We loved our stay at Donkeytown. It was a cozy, rural retreat setting for us but with the hospitality of a really high-quality inn. Super unique, tons of space, and great hosts!

My family and I had a wonderful holiday together at Donkey Town. The children loved all the animals and feeding them was so much more fun! The barndominiums were very clean; very well decorated for Christmas and so much room was fantastic.The trails for hiking were great although a little cool but would be really fun in warmer weather.If you have a large group, this is the perfect place to stay. So much space.The owner was very sweet and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again.

Family Spring Trip

Our family ages 90 to 6 years old really enjoyed our stay at Donkeytown . Loved the donkeys, sheep ,ponies , and goats . There was so many activities on the property for us to do , lots of fun !

Relaxing and lots to do

19 of us enjoyed our time at DonkeyTown. There was so many things for youth, young and old to do. We did not want to leave. Great accommodations and hostess.

We had a great time at Donkeytown. Tonya was professional, kind, and responsive. We loved getting to feed, brush, and hang out with the Donkeys and goats. We also enjoyed the hiking and fishing. It is close to Lake Monroe, where we rented a pontoon and went tubing and swimming for the day. We all had a wonderful, memorable trip!

Perfect for large family

Three generations, 17 people and unanimously everyone wants to come back next year! Donkeys, goats, chickens, sheep!! Fishing, trails, fire pit. Just a really great long weekend for our family making memories. Highly recommend!

Perfect for quality family time in an unique location

Seventeen of us, one set of grandparents and three of our children with spouses and 9 grandkids 11 and under, had a ball playing with the donkeys and goats, playing board games, having snowball fights, grilling and making s’mores, cooking meals, finding geodes(!!!), and playing air hockey. Perfect place to “meet in the middle “ and enjoy time together. Tonia has made this a place where your job to make memories is really easy!

Wedding weekend

Rented Tonya's farm for family and friends attending my daughter's wedding in Heltonville. It was perfect! Exceeded my expectations! Our wedding guests loved the facilities and Tanya's donkeys! Everyone was tryimg to plan their next trip here.

Loved the farm

Our weekend was wonderful. There were 20 of us (ages 10 - 92!) Tonya and Amy were so attentive and helpful. Donkeys , sheep, goats and chickens were fun. We had everything we needed plus. You don’t want to miss this place…it is absolutely terrific!

Wonderful time at Donkeytown!

Donkeytown was the perfect spot for our family fall trip. We had a group of 18 and there was plenty of room for all of us. The donkeys, goats, chickens provided great entertainment! We found everything we needed in the kitchens and we happily surprised at all the toys for the kids. Tonya and Amy were great at communicating and so nice and accomodating! Already talking about coming back!

90th Birthday family weekend

Donkeytown was awesome! The rentals had everything you would need. Tonya and her staff were very accommodating. My 4 year old grandsons loved riding the donkeys Angus and JD. Everyone enjoyed petting and feeding the donkeys! As well as seeing the goats, sheep,dogs and cats. Lots of room for everyone. Great place to get away from it all!

Our family vacation at Donkeytown

We had a wonderful week! There were 19 in our family with 11 adults and 8 grandkids. Tonya was so nice - one day she saddled up a couple of the Mediterranean miniature donkeys for our grandkids to ride and they loved it. We enjoyed the Kubota all week, and the guys enjoyed fishing in the ponds. Plenty of room for everyone - we were very comfortable. Highly recommend Donkeytown!

It's all about the kids at Donkeytown! The interaction with the animals and being able to feed them. Lots of space to ride bikes and play. A number of the bedrooms are set up with a king bed and several smaller beds that were perfect for families and those rooms had stuff for the kids to play with. One bedroom even had a John Deere tractor bed which my grandson was SO excited about. Fishing, geode's to find and crack and more! We rented both the Barndominiums and the house and they were both the same way.
We had 41 in our group and plenty of space!
We loved that they had a large room in the Barndomium where we could all eat together.
