Email communication with Glenn and personal check-in with Paulo were excellent.
A nice set of photographs advertising this apartment made us choose this pace, expecting a bright, clean, comfortable space. In reality, the apartment is small and leaves little to be desired as it gives the overal impression of a worn out and "tired" place, including yellowing kitchen appliances . Walls are thin and you could hear neighbours coughing (sometimes at all hours of the night) walking upstairs etc. Bathroom is nice but extra small. Steps to the apartment are treacherous.
On the other hand, we just needed a place to shower and sleep and this apartment is good value for the money and is well situated for exploring old Lisbon. You can certainly get nicer places Bairro Alto, but it will cost about double per night.
