Mount Washington is the location of Pittsburgh`s “Grand View”. Perched on the hilltops just south of downtown, this neighborhood provides the most scenic view of Pittsburgh and the surrounding region. If you stand on one of the many Grandview Avenue observation decks, you have the city at your feet.
Adults in their twenties and thirties are the primary residents of Mt. Washington, as well as young families and singles. Residents enjoy being close to downtown Pittsburgh, the North Shore, the Southside, and Station Square all at once. Whether it`s commuting to work or going out on a Friday night, you are strategically located for anything as a Mt. Washington resident.
Homes on Mt. Washington range from finely restored homes from the early 1900s to the red-bricks of the 1950s, to the newest single-family and multi-unit architecture styles.
The neighborhood also boasts active business districts and a wide range of parks, green spaces, and recreational activities, and is home to Pittsburgh`s newest Regional Park, currently called the Grand View Scenic Byway Park. At 235 acres, the GVSBP provides spectacular views, playing fields, and trails. The Park`s soon to be released trail plan will provide up to 18 miles of trails for all skill levels.
You can walk to many things! that said, it is VERY hilly so bring your walking shoes!
The other best way to get around is a short Uber ride. This way you don`t have to worry about parking.
There is a $350 fee if you smoke in the house.
There is also an extra cleaning fee for leaving the home in exceptionally bad condition - if this occurs pictures will be provided.

This house was perfect for a small group. Accommodations were great, as well as the location. Downtown was easily accessible, as was the rest of the city. 10/10 would stay again!
Had a great stay. Nice place to meet up with daughter who is at WVU. Great locations with views close by looking into Pittsburgh.

You made it as overall five stars, and then somehow gave us a four star review… I’m so sorry if something fell short of your expectations. I wish you would’ve said something to me sooner I would’ve been happy to help.
Neighborhood is super residential and not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity but is near the Monongahela and Duquesne inclines with easy access to the the South Side Flats and public transit to get to Downtown and North Shore. Would definitely stay again!

Thank you so much for the review! You’re welcome back any time!
Was excellent for what we were looking for...came in for Pitt game and was an easy LYFT to the stadium, downtown, the museum we visited, and the first night we walked to Monterrey Bay Fish Grotto which was less than a half mile away. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Come back anytime
We enjoyed our stay at 315 Republic. It's a short walk to a great hiking trail with awesome views of the City. The large table in the dining room was great too.

I am so glad you got a chance to enjoy the hiking! This is a great location with so much to offer. Come back anytime :)
The home was spotless and recently updated, with a nice kitchen and dining area. The neighborhood is charming, with well maintained homes, and it's only about a 15 minute drive to downtown. Just be prepared--it's very hilly! We would definitely stay here again.
The location of the property was ideal. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The coffee bar was a nice addition. The property is best suited for teenagers and above because the stairs for the upstairs bedrooms are a little steep.
Thank you so much for all of your accommodations and for such a beautiful house to stay in while visiting family! I would recommend your property 100% and the area and neighbors were very friendly and convenient! Thank you so much for your hospitality and I will be saving this property for if/when I need to stay in Pittsburgh again. Amazing service thank you!

Thank you much for the wonderful review! You are more than welcome back anytime!
This review confuses me… you rated overall 5 stars, cleanliness 5 stars, house rules 5 stars, and communication 5 stars, then wrote a review that says excellent and then gave us 4 stars??
The home was very nice. The listing says that it sleeps 8 but there are only 3 queen beds. I should have noticed that before booking but we had a cancellation in our group so it worked out anyway. Beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space. We didn't cook, but the kitchen is incredibly well-equipped. The upstairs does get warm so be sure to utilize the fans that are available.

This renovated house in a great neighborhood in Pittsburgh has great access to the city and the million dollar view (short walk). The house is nicely renovated. We had great family dinners at the beautiful dining table. The kitchen needs additional cookware and dishware. Found it difficult to cook meals with the basic cookware available. Love the gas stove! Manager was very responsive. Overall, this house rental worked out great for us.

That is true - we do not have a large pasta pot and a steamer. We only have basic cookware. I apologize if that was misleading in anyway. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.
Perfect location for just about anything in Pittsburgh
We had a lovely stay, the house is plenty big for 6 guests. Definitely felt right at home. The neighborhood is very friendly and we enjoyed going on walks to see the view of the city.
Sarah was always quick to respond to any questions I had! If we come back to PA I’ll definitely be staying here again.
Hey! My name is Sarah, and I would love to host you at one of our amazing properties! I am a resident of the neighborhood and just a few short blocks away with my Labradoodle wolfhound Copper! We love this city and are always happy to share it with new people! On the weekends you will usually find us around the Mount Washington area, either walking one of the many hiking trails in the Mount or just up Grandview Avenue (best view of the Burgh). My family is from Pittsburgh, but I have always loved to travel. I moved to Nashville and toured the country singing with my band. It was amazing, but all good things come to an end so I got my business degree. I lived in Australia for a while too! This world has so many amazing places to go - I still have a very VERY long list. Even with all of that, my heart is still here in Pittsburgh, so this where I started my business and now call home. Thanks for taking some more time to check the place and my profile! Please reach out with any questions!
