The property was as advertised. My stay was unfortunately cut short due to work. I explained my situation and Terry was wonderful, my money for the remainder of my stay was refunded. Ty again Terry! Great place, great host!
The apartment was clean, quiet, and felt secluded. The bed was quite comfy. Terry was a great host and very helpful. (Just be sure to take your sleep mask as there is not a curtain on the window.)

I loved that it was accessible for my mother. Would be nice if they’d get a shower chair for the shower!

Mooie kamer, mooie badkamer heerlijk bes
terrasje met fireplace, super vriendelijke en toegankelijke host. Wat afgelegen plek.
My wife and I live in Anchorage, but were traveling to Fairbanks for a wedding. We found the property as described and it had everything to make our 3-night stay enjoyable. It was a quick drive back into Fairbanks and we enjoyed the privacy of the area. We would definitely return if the need ever arises.
Very comfortable. We rented this unit for our 21 year old kid and a separate unit for ourselves. Was nice to be close but have space when we needed it ;)
The weather was not cooperating so it took us a day longer to get to Fairbanks than expected, the owner was very accommodating and I will be staying here again when I go back to Fairbanks.
The hosts were super accommodating and responded to us right away. They even brought us wine when they found out it was a trip for our anniversary! How thoughtful!

I loved that the room had the same amenities as a hotel room but was more private and more in a “home” like environment. No long hallways or kids running by your door screaming. Very nice accommodations. Only thing I would add is maybe a desk for doing some laptop work and some blackout curtains for the long summer days.

Fantastic 2-week stay at this property. Hosts are very nice and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Clean, safe, and quiet location close to Fairbanks and North Pole. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Fairbanks! 5 stars!!
We were in Fairbanks to visit our son and his family. They have a fairly small home with a toddler, so we rented this property 5 minutes away just so everyone would be a little more comfortable. It worked out great. It was so close to the main road that we could be anywhere in no time.
Terry and Anne were wonderful hosts. Should we ever get to return we would call them first if we needed a "satellite bedroom".

About the host
Hosted by Terry Duszynski
Terry is a home building inspector, energy rater, dad, grandpa, and friend to all. Anne is an Arts Advocate in Fairbanks. Together for 20 years, they both love to travel and stay at VRBO's. After living in Fairbanks 50 and 30 years respectively, they figure they know everyone in town - and all the good places to go. Both really enjoy sharing what they've learned with guests. Guests always remark how clean everything is. We like to clean as we wish to be cleaned for! Especially during this time, every touch surface is disinfected between users.
Why they chose this property
We've had so much fun hosting the past few years that we built another house next door especially to host guests. This one has an array of options. You can rent the whole house, one room, or a couple of rooms. Each is independent of the others. Each has its own entrance, fridge, microwave, bathroom, and privacy from the rest of the building. This room is fully ADA compliant.
What makes this property unique
Great aurora viewing. ADA compliant Quiet location Close to town On the way to Chena Hot Springs Thoroughly clean! Friendly, thoughtful hosts who respect your independence.
