We had a wonderful time staying here. Everything was so close. The house was beautiful! Loved the architecture. The door to the house did give us a little trouble, & the door to the balcony as well. All in all we had a very nice stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Within walking distance of all activities in town, plus the added benefit of off street parking! The pictures of this beautiful upstairs apartment don’t do it justice. Liza was quick to respond to all of our needs. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.
We were there for a girl’s (all over 60, lol) weekend and had the BEST time! The house is beautiful, the location couldn’t be better, and our hostess truly went out of her way!
We were looking for somewhere nice in Jim Thorpe and we found it!
This home has plenty of space from the living room to the large kitchen where we watched the buzz of West Broadway below.
Updated bathrooms were tastefully done.
The home is perfectly situated and I have already recommended it to others looking to go to Jim Thorpe.
We stayed on the 2nd floor unit of this property. What a beautiful spot filled with lot’s of Victorian charm and history. The location is absolutely perfect to walk to everything in the heart of Jim Thorpe. The views from the kitchen and front windows are beautiful. The bathrooms and kitchen are updated and very nice. The property owners are very welcoming, available and responsive to any questions or concerns that you have. The exterior of the property is undergoing a stunning renovation and refreshed painting of the original woodwork. **COOL ALERT** On the back patio there is a metal grate that looks down to the stream flowing underneath the property. There is some history on it posted on the walls in the house.
A perfect space for witches to gather on Halloween weekend ! We were instantly transported to another time in this beautiful old home with amazing woodworking and antique furniture. Centally located on Broadway, the 2nd floor unit had a roomy living and sitting area leading out to the large balcony which overlooked all the comings and goings on the main strip of Jim Thorpe. The kitchen was extremely well equipped; we all prepared and shared a family dinner together while there. The firepit out back was the perfect place to enjoy the full blood moon. After our busy days, laying down in comfortable beds with quality linens made for restful & restorative slumber. Our hostess, Liza, was extremely communicative in a non intrusive way offering instructions and suggestions to enhance our stay and graciously extended us extra time for checking out. I would highly reccomend.
Great location and a house full of charm and history!
Spent a Sisters' weekend here and loved the layout and features of the property. Very comfortable but still maintains the historic flavor. Loved the salmon bathroom! We had everything we needed. Liza and Brian were perfect hosts, excellent communicators, quick to respond to questions, and provided great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks!
Such a beautiful home with a charming mix of a taste of the past with modern conveniences! Spacious full kitchen, 2 large full bathrooms, tons of space, and the biggest front balcony in town with a fantastic view. This location in the heart of Jim Thorpe can’t be beat! Liza and Brian were absolutely wonderful to work with! We went on a girls trip and I was complimented by all of the ladies on picking the perfect place! Highly recommend!
Fun gathering of extended family (11 adults, two 3yr olds
We rented both floors. It was spacious, beautiful, comfortable and located amongst a variety of activities in town (rafting, bike rental and trail, jazz club, museums, shops, restaurants. It was our 2nd visit to the house. We love it. Parking’s a challenge if you have lots of cars. Host is gracious and promptly responds to queries.
The mansion is absolutely beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. The outside area was perfect, and we couldn't have gotten a better location. It ws a 5 minute walk to the train station with all of the shops in between. Our host was very attentive and we had everything we needed plus more. I would stay there again in a heart beat 💓
This was at first stay at this wonderful old home. Enjoyed our stay immensely. The owner was an attentive to our needs and was even able to help us find assistance for Saturday night dinner setup and tear down. Lots of areas to congregate for our group, which made all the difference in this house rental.
The house is gorgeous, the kitchen is more than fully stocked with everything you’ll need and more. Liza was great, responded super quickly. We didn’t have a single issue at the property. And it’s right next store to the Marion hose bar and opera house and shopping all around. Perfect location for a weekend trip to Jim Thorpe. 10/10 highly recommend staying here. And it was super clean!
Perfect place to stay in Jim Thorpe. Beautiful Victorian furnishings with beautiful atmosphere. Great location to everything. I will stay there again and will recommend it friends. Hosts were wonderful. We absolutely loved it.
This property and its host set the standards for excellence when it comes to the vrbo experience! The beautiful period home — both main level and upstairs — is charming, comfortable, immaculate and in the ideal location. The host is welcoming and has attended to every detail to ensure a wonderful stay. This is the perfect property for anyone looking for the quintessential Jim Thorpe getaway!
This was such a cute house! Liza was very active and easy to communicate with. The place had so much history, but was updated so that it made for a comfortable stay. The location is great - easy access to shopping, coffee, and restaurants. We would for sure stay here again!
We rented this beautiful newly remodeled 2nd floor along with the also beautifully restored 1st floor of the Judge Allen Craig Mansion for a long weekend with friends. The house has been remodeled with great care to keep it’s character and history and is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay. This is a perfect centrally located spot to walk to anything in town, and we also really enjoyed spending time on the patio with a fabulous view of Jim Thorpe. (There was an eclipse while we were here and it was the perfect spot to watch the moon over the mountains!) We will definitely be back again next year!
