About this property

19th century family home 30 minutes from Carcassonne

We are renting out our family home located near the city of Carcassonne adjoining the village of Bram.

This is a house in the charm of the old dating back to 1850 and in our family since 1930.
The house is composed of two floors and has: one bathroom per bedroom, a large kitchen, a living room, a large dining room.
Ideal for a large family or several with children because of the provision of a pool that serves as a swimming pool (located 2 minutes walk from the house) and a large garden (30 hectares park).

All shops are close to the house, a supermarket 5 min away and the village 2km away.

This region benefits from mild temperatures and very good sunshine during spring and summer.
The house is located half an hour from the famous city of Carcassonne.
It is also possible to visit the Cathar castles, the city of Narbonne, the city of Mirepoix, and walk along the Canal du Midi.

Excellent stay

Beautiful and cherished family home. All rooms a good size with en suite showers, fewer toilets as expected with a house this age but plumbing works very well. Very well equipped kitchen and pleasant outdoor BBQ area. House is well situated for road transport and supermarket. There are plenty of activities for family groups; we recommend Halle de La machines, rafting at Axat, caving all within 1.5 hours drive. The pool is situated a short walk from the main house so younger kids will need supervision. The owners are very nice and helpful.
