Downstairs the cozy bedroom boasts a FULL-SIZE bed, feather pillows and duvet, and a door that opens onto a sheltered patio with river views.

I was highly impressed with the amenities as well as the spot. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and this is among the best. Will definitely stay there again.

This cabin is in such a great location. It’s super relaxing and a really nice getaway. We enjoyed the cabin so much and would highly recommend it to others.
Everything about this place is wonderful: the location, the amenities, the cuteness of it, being near the river, cleanliness, easy check-in, having our own fire pit next to the river, the parking, dog friendly, the hosts (they are so nice and friendly). It's a perfect place to stay when we visit our son and family near by.
The property is beautiful-in a very nice neighborhood.
Nice porch on the back to over look the amazing trees,
and the beautiful Creek(River)!
The cabin is indeed ‘cozy’…and the area very quiet.
Also very convenient to grocery, and shopping.
We really loved how quaint the cabin was and how quiet and relaxing the whole experience was. Rachel and Brian were awesome but Ziggy stole our hearts. Close to all you need and enjoyed family and friends visiting us.
Clean with everything we needed. Nice peaceful location along a beautiful river. Owner is super nice. We enjoyed our stay. We are visiting family in the area so this was very convenient. Thanks for having your cabin available for us!
Stayed here in July 2023 and was pleasantly surprised at the great location in a wooded area but close enough to amenities. There is the Cedar River behind the cabin that we put our feet in and our dog had a great time removing all the sticks out of the water. Would definitely stay here again.
This place is more beautiful than any of these pictures. The surrounding forest and river were as enchanting as they were rejuvenating. Cabin was clean and felt safe. Would definitely come back if staying in maple valley area.
We had a really relaxing visit at the cabin. The house was clean and adorable, we loved playing with Ziggy (yellow lab) when he was outside. We enjoyed sitting by the river next to the fire pit. We visit Maple Valley a couple times a year and will definitely make this our new “go to” spot.

We are so glad you loved the cabin as much as we did. And, of course, we appreciate all your love for Ziggy! See you soon. We’d love to have you back any time.

From the beautiful scenery to the absolutely friendly and welcoming hosts, this was a place i will be coming back to more than once. We enjoyed ourselves to the fullest thanks to Rachell, Brian and Ziggy. Kim
This Little cabin is set on a lot beside the home of the owners, who by the way are friendly and welcoming. The cabin is well appointed, clean and cosy. The owners thought of everything.
We enjoyed our stay immensely.
The surrounding area is old growth forest with a creek running past a feet short steps away. Hiking/walking/biking trails near by.
I absolutely am in awe with this place. Definitely meant for two people only, and no kids. I loved that the phone reception wasn’t the best, because it really forced my significant other and I to spend less time on our phones, and more time together. I felt I was in a Thomas Kinkade painting. We will definitely be coming back here again next year.

Thanks for the great review. We love renting to people who love the cabin as much as we do. See you next year.
The location was just magical! It was in the middle of a forest with the Cedar River close by. The road there was very narrow and windy. It was difficult to find late at night when we arrived, but we were pleasantly surprised at beautiful location when daylight appeared. It was small but adequate. The only negative was the fact that the bathroom was on the main level and the bedroom downstairs. The balcony overlooking the river was a big plus! We enjoyed our retreat very much!

Thank you for taking the time to review the cabin. I'm sorry you rated your visit just "Okay." We want all our guests to have a five-star stay, and I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. However, the source of both of your complaints is disclosed in the property description. We indicate the cabin is on a dead-end private road in a wooded area. Most of our guests appreciate the "off the beaten path" location and embrace the seclusion of the "cabin life" experience.
The description also indicates that the bathroom and bedroom are on different floors. We strive to be upfront and clear about what visitors can expect from their stay. This is our only vacation rental, and we put a great deal of thought into ensuring our guests have a wonderful visit. I am sorry that was not your experience.
Rachel, THANK YOU so much for the lovely weekend! The location is just awesome. The fire pit on the river bed is spectacular! We all had such a good time. My husband, my dog and me! Lots of great hiking trails (even within walking distance of the cabin) and great swimming spots for Ellie (the dog!). The cabin had everything we needed. And thanks for the wine and chocolates! We plan on returning in the fall.

So happy to hear you had a good time and that Ellie enjoyed swimming. Maybe next time, you will take a dip too. We look forward to seeing you in the fall. Rachel
This cabin was quaint and cozy. The location was perfect and Rachel was a great communicator. Our only issue was the steep stairs to the basement - very narrow. The restroom is upstairs so it is a little hazardous when you have to get up in the night. We loved hearing the river and imagine it is very enjoyable during the summer months.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is rustic, comfortable but what really sealed the deal was the proximity to the Cedar River! A few steps out the door and you are at water's edge in amongst lovely old and new trees and the sun dappling through. Stick your feet in! It really does wonders to replenish nature starved suburban or city dwellers.
I would would love to say "noooo, don't go there" so it may always be available when we want to go back, but but that would be selfish of me. It really is a lovely getaway!

About the host
Hosted by Rachel Padgett
We (Rachel, Brian, and Ziggy Stardust, our big yellow lab) look forward to welcoming you to our cabin and riverfront retreat. Rachel was born and raised in England (North Yorkshire), Brian was born in Connecticut but grew up mostly in California. Together they have lived in Connecticut, New York City, Seattle, and now Maple Valley.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this riverfront property as soon as we saw it. The cabin was a bonus we were not expecting but have embraced. In our first year here, we spent a lot of weekends "lovingly" fixing up the cabin. This included replacing the chimney and wood-burning stove, replacing the appliances, laying new carpet downstairs, painting (everything!), installing a new patio, and adding as many home comforts as we could to make the cabin convenient, welcoming, and cozy.
What makes this property unique
Located just thirty-five minutes from Sea-Tac, forty-five minutes from downtown Seattle, and ten minutes from local stores and restaurants, it's hard to believe how secluded this property feels. At the end of the resident's only low-traffic road, you find direct access to the Cedar River Trail; great for biking and walking. In the summer months, you can take a bracing dip in the river or enjoy tubing (we'll share all the best spots with you.)
