It's a quiet location on the quiet side of the island. It had decent access to Acadia National Park, but the drive to Bar Harbor and most locations in the park were 30 minutes. The shower is really small. When cool/cold outside, it can get quite cold in the cottage due to the lack of insulation and small heaters, but plenty of blankets were available. Management was very responsive to answer any of our questions.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in
Our recent stay ( September 2025) was fine but cottage was very musty. Pictures showed coffee cups which were none existent, just plastic travel mugs. The bed is a queen and very uncomfortable.Check out time was 10:00, wished it was at least 11:00.
Look no further, you won't find a more authentic Maine experience
This was our first trip to Maine and couldn't have picked a better location. The property was cozy, clean and roomy and had a wonderful view of the harbor. Serene and quiet, and loved to wake up to birds chirping. Lots of nearby Acadia trails and the downtown area has many nice stores and restaurants. The host was great and provided helpful tips. Highly recommend!
e only went to Bar Harbor once assYou can
Ingrid and John beautifully maintain 3 lovely properties with amazing views. We had all kinds of weather; sun, clouds, rain, fog on our last day, and every day we enjoyed watching the tides and the gulls, occasionally a lobster boat going out or coming in, from the deck or chairs tucked between trees below. The location is great for hiking Acadia and enjoying amazing food nearby. Inside the cabin was super comfy. It was everything we had hoped for and really needed! Thanks Ingrid and John!
It had been years since I'd visited Bar Harbor/Acadia so my husband and I decided it was time to go back! The cottage was exactly as pictured in the listing, clean and updated nicely. The location couldn't be beat either. We were just minutes from Thurston's Lobster Pound and away from the crowds of downtown Bar Harbor. A wonderful little cottage, lobster and quiet. What else do you need on vacation in Maine?!
We had such an amazing time here, the property was perfect and exactly as advertised with pictures. We are extremely happy we decided to choose this property and would definitely come back again!
Newly renovated and well-kept property with all of the essentials you'll need for a pleasant get-away. The contactless access was a breeze because Ingrid was very responsive to text messages. In fact, within an hour of our departure she sent a text asking about something we had mistakenly left behind and quickly offered to ship it to us if that was our desire. I've already recommended the Tidewatch Cottages to my sister who I planning a trip to Arcadia next year.
Recently renovated cottage with very good amenities. On the water. Lovely views from the deck plus privacy. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harborside cottage. We loved the location in the woods overlooking the harbor. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. Communication with Ingrid our host was amazing. This is a hidden gem.
