Peaceful Pines offers you the amenities you need and expect to make your vacation perfect. 3 bd, 2 ba, 1,600 ft, two-story home with private hot tub, situated amongst the pine trees in the glorious and abundant Tahoe Donner resort. The home sleeps 8 (2 queen, 1 full, 2 twin beds) comfortably.



Breath easier while on vacation. The home is extremely allergy-friendly. Everything in this home is new, top to bottom. Wood floors throughout.



The main floor has the great room with a gas fireplace, 47” HDTV, dining area, kitchen with gas stove, bathroom with twin sinks and a shower. The master bedroom is also downstairs and has a queen bed, large sitting area, separate work area, and 32” TV.



Upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a double bed and twin bunk beds. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower.



Sometimes you play . . .In the summer enjoy the backyard deck that includes a maintained hot tub and gas BBQ. The deck opens to the grass with room for summer time games. Enjoy the serenity amongst the peaceful pine trees that line the 1/3-acre property. With any luck you may spot a chipmunk, rabbit, or even an occasional brown bear.



In the winter, the large flat yard provides room for some quick romps in the snow, build a snowman, or just relax in the hot tub. If you are ambitious, the side yard is the perfect spot for piling up fresh snow building your own sled run.



Sometimes you work . . .Vacation is vacation, but sometimes, you just have to check in. Connect your computer up to our complementary hi-speed (200Mb) wireless Internet. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and backyard deck—connection not always guaranteed. The master bedroom hosts a small work area with printer/copier and a few supplies to finish that last minute report. Free domestic telephone service.



Game Loft:

• Enjoy the 37” television.

• Play a board game. Games available for all ages.

• Play dice or dominoes.

• Challenge the family to a Texas Hold’em tournament using the 8-person folding game table that includes cards, poker chips, and folding chairs. No smoking at the tables please. Under 21 okay.

• Cuddle up on the comfortable leather sofa that pulls out to a queen sleeper—read a book from our library or bring one from home.

Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Check out is simple and quick. Please use the DEPARTURE CHECKLIST located on the kitchen counter. Leave the list on the counter as you leave.
If towels are wet, please hang them somewhere in a bathroom--do not leave them on the floor.
While not required, it is a tremendous help if you could put on a load of wash. Towels or bed linens, it doesn't matter.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Cozy cabin

We had a blast at this cozy cabin located close to the ski slopes. Plenty of space for the kids. We all enjoyed the hottub, playing in the snow out back and proximity to amenities.

Wonderful stay

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Peaceful Pines. The home was clean, conveniently located, hot tub was amazing, and we had everything we needed. We were worried about the storm and wanted to arrive early and Michael was extremely helpful and accommodating. He allowed us to check in early and provided us with helpful tips prior to and during our stay. We would recommend the home and surely stay here again!

Very nice and clean. Big kitchen. Hot tub was awesome. Setting is beautiful. Clear instructions on what to do and how to use everything. Fully stocked with pots, pans, bowls, etc. great refrigerator. Full 2 car garage and extra parking made it very convenient.

Perfect for a family weekend getaway

Peaceful Pines had everything we needed for a weekend snow trip with 4 adults and 4 kids. We tubed at the Tahoe Donner SnowPlay and it was perfect for first time tubers. We had a great weekend!

Very comfortable and welcoming. “Just like a home away from home”. Warm and cozy! Close to downtown Truckee with shod and restaurants yet within a 30-40 minute drive to Kings Beach and Boca Reservoir. A favorite was a picnic at the lake at Donner State Park and a walk on the lake trail. Definitely a must: a visit to the Emigrant Trail Museum and Pioneer Monument which details the history of the Donner Party and the settlement of the Truckee valley

Fantastic Mountain Getaway - Outstanding Property

Don't usually do reviews, but for Peaceful Pines I will... This place is absolutely fantastic! It's a perfect mountain getaway. Amenities are too many to list, big screen TV's (2), Outdoor Hot Tub, Gas Barbeque, Hammock under the trees... Property is in perfect spotless condition. All appliances are new and modern, including a washer and dryer (great + for when your playing in the mountains). Location is perfect: golfing, tennis, lake activities are all within 5-10 minutes. Also 15 minutes from North Lake Tahoe (Kings Beach & Sand Harbor, both must see's). The neighborhood is very quite and perfect for evening or afternoon strolls. Downtown Truckee is just 5-minutes down the hill and is filled with quaint shops and a great mix of restaurants. Enjoyed several great meals including Dinner at Zano's (great pasta's and pizza w/huge portions), El Toro Bravo (great carnitas and margarita's) especially enjoyed Jack's On The Track's - featured in Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives (I'm a big fan) my Triple Decker Club Sandwich was fantastic. We also enjoyed a couple of great days at Donner Lake. The water is crystal clear, and we enjoyed kayaking along with some time on jet ski's and a ski boat as well. I'm just hitting on a few of the things we did over a few days, the opportunities and options are endless. Would recommend to all family, friends, ect. ect.. This place is exactly as advertised plus more.

Darling weekend getaway spot

My family and I traveled up to Truckee recently and loved our stay at Peaceful Pines. The place had plenty of space for our family and the location was convenient to town as well as Donner Lake. The owners were easy to coordinate with and we will definitely be coming here again soon!

Loved Peaceful Pines - what a beautiful place!

We stayed at Peaceful Pines for a week while my parents were visiting. It was a very comfortable home nestled in the beautiful pines above Truckee. We saw deer daily and enjoyed watching all the wildlife around us. The home is well appointed and easily accommodated our family of 5. I highly recommend it!

House was not well insulated. Could hear everything from upstairs. Beds are uncomfortable. Just was not impressed at all.

We appreciate the feedback that will allow us to improve. Thank you. Regarding the insulation and hearing noises from upstairs-when we purchased the home it had very thick padded wall to wall carpet. That carpet did an excellent job muffling noises between the floors. The carpet also did an excellent job attracting every dust and pollen particle in the forest. Unfortunately, no matter how many times a carpet is vacuumed, it remains filled with allergens. Our family has allergies and we made the choice to remove the carpet to reduce allergens. That is also why we do not allow pets or smoking. It was a trade-off that we hope others will appreciate. As for the uncomfortable beds, this is the first we have heard of this issue. We will examine the beds closely for repair or replacement.

Loved it! Super Clean, lots of amenities

This is a very charming home. Spacious for the size, super clean and well-organized! My family enjoyed the peace and quiet of Truckee and all the amenities of Tahoe Donner. Easily accessible, about 7 minutes from downtown Truckee. The owner was very accommodating to our needs. We are definitely coming back to this great find!

Winter Wonderland

We ended up being there during a very stormy weekend and felt the place was well suited for all kinds of weather. I especially appreciated the covered walkway from the front door to the garage. It made unloading and loading much more managable in the snow/rain. The hot tub was a definite bonus as well! We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Peaceful Pines very much. With 4 adults and 4 kids, the house was the perfect layout with enough space for all of us to spread out comfortably. The hot tub is nice and was fun to use in the snow. The house was clean and well-appointed, with comfortable beds. The location was perfect as we were going to Tahoe Donner Ski area only a few minutes away. The owner was very responsive to questions. We all wanted to stay longer!

I would highly recommend this one. We have two family stayed there 1/23-1/25/2015. The owner gave us VERY detail information from their web site with all local people (he lives in bay area now I believe) suggestion so you don't have to worry about where to go, what to eat, and all possible information you may want to know. There is a big book in the kitchen providing you all useful information. Compare the price, service, and house condition, they are really good. Of course you may have a rental house with luxury furniture and new condition, but if you are considering a vacation and living in a place with nice location (to ski or restaurants), feeling like a house, this is the one. Thank you!

Perfection

A group of us stayed there for New Years Eve. The house was the perfect size for our group. We enjoyed using the kitchen to make meals and spending the evenings after snowboarding in the hot tub unwinding. A binder is provided with ALL information ever necessary for your stay. I would gladly recommend this place to anyone I know in a heartbeat. The owners are responsible, responsive, and they have a lovely home that they've clearly put a lot of love into. Close to the slopes and to grocery stores - this was exactly what we were looking for and more! Thank you for the wonderful stay.
