Welcome to the brand new Fox Den cabin. Built for luxury and serenity, this property invites you to a getaway with beautiful views and cozy comforts. Relax in the hot tub while the leaves softly rustle in the breeze. Cuddle up on the couch in front of the fire, taking the sunset out of the picture windows. Drink your morning coffee on the private balcony, catching glimpses of the birds, squirrels, and deer frolicking in the woods.



This cabin has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs, a half bath, and a queen sleeper sofa downstairs, suitable for a maximum of 6 guests.



Just .1 mile from the Shenandoah River Outfitters and about 15 minutes from Luray Caverns, this property is close to plenty of things to do in the Luray area.

PLEASE NOTE: The optional firewood charge of $15/night is for firewood for the outdoor fire pit. (The indoor fireplace at this property is gas.) Please let us know if you don't think you will use the firewood or would like to bring your own! We are more than happy to refund that to you.



Fox Den does not allow parties, events, or gatherings of guests not included in the reservation.



The base rate includes 2 people. Additional guests are extra $35 per person per night, please read the itemized charges carefully and make sure to make your reservation for the correct number of guests that will be staying. Thank you!



Pet Fee: $85 per dog ( max 2 dogs) - No cats, sorry!

Please take your trash with you. There is dumpster access at the Shenandoah River Outfitters (less than a mile from the property). The house manager can take them for a tip of $5 per bag, if you would prefer.

Great cabin!

Fox Den is a beautiful cabin. It is clean, cozy, and has everything you need. We had a great stay and I would highly recommend it. Close to Luray, close to Shenandoah National Park, the hot tub was amazing, well stocked kitchen, cozy beds, and everything else you could want.

From my first interactions with the hosts, they were wonderful to book with, ask questions of and get us all set up for our stay. We arrived at night to a lit Christmas tree seen through the window and a wreath on the door. The cabin was pristine, the amenities were great and plentiful, with extra towels, blankets, and kitchen ware. It was so comfortable. We had a very relaxing and cozy stay at Fox Den and will definitely be returning again and again. New favorite place to relax and unwind!

My wife and I had a very nice time at the Fox Den! It was a very cozy cabin with privacy and beautiful views. It was also a convenient short drive to downtown Luray. Such a beautiful drive in the valley!

5/5 Stay at Fox Den – Peaceful Getaway Near Shenandoah We had a wonderful stay at the Fox Den! The cabin was very clean and well-maintained, with some helpful basic items provided like toilet paper, paper towels, and other essentials. It’s tucked away in a secluded spot, offering peace and quiet while still being conveniently close to nature. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the Shenandoah River and about a 30-minute drive to Shenandoah National Park, where we enjoyed several beautiful hiking trails. It’s also close to Skyline Drive, making it easy to explore the scenic routes in the area. Overall, it was a cozy and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet retreat near the mountains and river!

Needed getaway

The Fox Den was a perfect place for my wife and I to recharge together. This rental had everything we needed and amazing views of the Shenadoah River and mountains. Highly recommend this location in Luray, VA

The Fox Den is the perfect getaway. The location is excellent, with outstanding views. The cabin and all amenities are five stars. It was fresh, clean, and well-equipped. A great place to get away. Shenandoah Rentals was also very professional, had great communication, and was courteous.

Perfect Escape from the City

My husband and friends had an amazing time over the Thanksgiving weekend being surrounded by the Blue Ridge mountains and the Shenandoah River. Our cabin had everything we needed to disconnect, relax and enjoy our time together. Bonus was a hot tub on the deck overlooking the mountains. We can’t wait to plan our next retreat.

Very good experience all around! Great property and views would definitely recommend! One thing that might help is having a reflective house number on the street indicating the house to make it easier to find when arriving late at night.

We stayed at Fox Den for a long birthday weekend last week. The cabin was beautiful and clean, and we loved the dĂ©cor. We appreciated that towels and bedsheets were provided, along with paper towels and trash bags. We brought extras but didn’t need them. We sat on the upper balcony each morning drinking our coffee and listening to the river and watching deer in the woods. We walked down to the river each day and in the evenings after the fire pit, we watched the stars from the hot tub. The location was great, and it didn’t take long to get to breweries, wineries and Shenandoah National Park for hiking. Shenandoah Rentals provided exceptional customer service and was extremely responsive and available whenever I had a question. I highly recommend Fox Den to anyone looking for a relaxing time away in the mountains.

Couples get away weekend

Totally enjoyed our getaway weekend at the Fox Den this weekend. Husband and I were overdue for a getaway and some time to unplug. We totally enjoyed the cabin and the hot tub. Peaceful, Serene Getaway

Lovingly maintained property with cozy amenities! The living area was well laid out and perfect for catching up with a book or watching a DVD at night after a day of hiking. Hot tub was the perfect place to relax and listen to the sound of the river. Beds were super comfortable, and the location was QUIET. You can hear a pin drop at night. Grab your coffee and listen to the birds on the balcony in the morning. We were truly able to unplug while we were there. WiFi can be iffy at times, so put away your phones and enjoy the cabin and surroundings!

Nice clean new house. Very nice location and nice little community with river access down the hill . Yet fire pit is not in a pretty place on the driveway. Better mattresses needed for the pullout couch. It was painful. Two primary smoke detectors were unplugged and we had to replace the batteries (back up)ourselves. Secure Wi-Fi not available but a back up on a unsecured- public router was working. The host was responsive , friendly and tried to meet Our needs.

loved the. place, just had issues with the cable.. probably need to figure out a way for guests to stream movies. I know its remote, a we kept our selves busy exploring, anchor tubbing. it would have been nice to watch some Netflix. the dvd selection was nice, but way outdated. would stay again. This is a great, new property located near the Shenandoah River. We (2 couples) had a wonderful weekend stay. The living space is large, and the kitchen is well-appointed. The rental company was easy to work with and communicated all you need to know about using and accessing the property. The bedrooms are nice with queen beds. The front bedroom has a nice deck, and the back bedroom has skylights. The rooms do not have any windows coverings, so be prepared for early morning sunrises (and beautiful views!) Extra fans in the bedroom would be a nice touch to keep the rooms a bit cooler in warm summer months. The only downside is that the property is situated on a steep hill, so if you want to walk anywhere, you will have to walk uphill and downhill to get there. The river access is a 5-minute (downhill) walk. This property is also a 5-minute drive to Shenandoah River Outfitters.

Weekend Cabin Stay in Luray

My fiancée, her parents, and I really enjoyed the location of the cabin especially its proximity to the river. It's also just a 15 minute drive into Luray. I believe it was was recently built so everything feels really new and not at all dated. We also enjoyed the amenities including the hot tub and fire pit (firewood included). Our only issue was that both of the beds were uncomfortable. It was difficult to fall asleep and when we woke up in the morning we were feeling sore. All in all a great weekend stay just wish the beds were more comfortable.

Perfect Getaway

My family(2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs) absolutely love this weekend getaway. We were able to find the home even in the dark when we arrived. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, they even had some coffee filters which I had forgotten to pack. There was more than enough room to spread out and enjoy inside and outside. We got in the hot tub every day and payed domino's on the outdoor table. We even had a fire in the fire pit one night. There were plenty of towels and blankets for all. The walk down to the river was short, but uphill on the way back. I would stay here again!

Relaxing winter getaway with beautiful views!

My husband and I stayed at Fox Den for a weekend getaway. We loved being on the mountain and being able to see the river, even while in the hot tub! Upstairs in the main bedroom had a beautiful porch that over looked the river and at night we could see the stars! We had a fire each evening in the fire pit. The cabin itself was perfect. Very open, nice gas fireplace, full kitchen, laundry room, basically everything you need. The location of the cabin was perfect because we were so close to Skyline Drive and was able to do some hiking during the day and also visit Luray Caverns.. An overall great trip, not one complaint. We plan on booking again soon and bring our 4 kids with us!!
