The owners were so accommodating, helpful and kind. The staff was also very helpful! The location was perfect and close to Custer and other places of interest. We loved our visit and the kids did really well in the home. Plenty of space to lounge around and enjoy the scenery! Thank you so much!!

Excellent cabin that butts up against the national forest. Super close to everything you want to see and do near the Mt Rushmore area! Cabin was very very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It has everything you need. Communication with Lisa was excellent! Three bedrooms but the largest bedroom has a set of bunk beds and two queens. Plenty of room for a large family! Would definitely stay here again and next time bring my four daughters and boyfriends/husband. If you do have horses the barn areas looked very clean and well stocked/attended. Would recommend to anyone coming to this area!

Nice cabin on a horse camp to rest your head and close to the beautiful sights in the state parks and national parks.

Great place to stay near Custer State Park!

Convenient location overlooking a quiet horse camp. The kids enjoyed visiting with the horses each evening. This is an actual cabin so you are going to get an authentic experience with an actual loft.

The process to reserve, check in and out was extremely easy. Lisa was available to answer any questions we had. The cabin itself was so charming and rustic with all modern conveniences.

This place was absolutely wonderful! It is a three-bedroom cabin that sits atop the hill in a horse camp. The front porch offers a relaxing opportunity to sit and watch the horses and enjoy a cup of coffee. There is an enclosed porch in the back of the cabin if you prefer a view of the woods. The cabin has plenty of space for 10 people. Lisa was extremely responsive both before and during our stay. The people who are keeping their horses at the can are very friendly and felt like a big family. And the location was outstanding—close to Custer and within a 30-minute drive to Mount Rushmore, Hill City, Custer State Park, and Wind Cave National Park. Just down the road from Jewel Cave. We highly recommend!

Beautiful Ranch Close to Everything

This location was exactly as described and fit my 3 teens with no problem. The hosts were great and very friendly. My only suggestion would be to get softer beds. The beds were a little hard to my families liking.

Family reunion

Our young granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the horses and staff at the horse camp. The kitchen though was very spartan.

Peaceful and Beautiful

This cabin was the perfect getaway home for the 7 of us! We ranged in age from 7 to 69, and all of us were very comfortable. The house had everything we needed and then some. The property is quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the horses. We even got to watch a group of hot air balloons land in the field across the street! Lisa was a fabulous host. We would definitely stay here again!

We were three couples traveling together, and this was an excellent accommodation for us. Beds and pillows were comfortable, plenty of towels and everything was clean. A nice setting in the trees, but be aware that the cabin is on a horse camp property. Absolutely no problem for us. Nice to see all the horses. The camp was very quiet at night. Some noise from the adjacent highway during the day, but not obnoxious. Nice place to stay.
