The cabin was a perfect little getaway for my wife and I to celebrate both her birthday and our anniversary. We enjoyed its proximity to many of the daily outings we took, knowing we could return to peace and quiet! Thank you for making the check-in process easy and for answering questions in advance through your notes!
Fourth year staying here as we love a cozy and comfortable place to stay. We do a lot of fishing durduring our stay and thus is a perfect spot close enough to a biat ramp only a few miles away.
Very nice, just what we needed for a weeklong stay in NH. Everything was there, supplies, linens, even a washing machine and dryer. We would stay again!!
The cottage exceeded our expectations and served as a conveniently located jumping off point for an active lifestyle of Kayaking, Bicycling, and Hiking. The hosts were very responsive regarding our questions and the cottage was very well stocked with provisions for our stay. Looking forward to another stay sometime in the future.
All the exceptional reviews were spot on! So glad we got to spend our 44th wedding anniversary in this charming cottage on the lake! Melissa was amazing when we contacted her with questions. Great location close to everything we wanted to do! Thanks again Melissa & Phil!!
We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful stay for a month amongst all the beautiful scented pines. Loved the lakeview and the sound of the Loons most nights. Thanks Phil and Melissa for the pleasant stay and always being there if we needed something!
This property is overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee and is in the woods. It is very quiet and comfortable. Privacy is superb if that is what one wants. The beach is about 1/2 mile away and is quiet and calm especially in the early morning. This is a chance to get away from it all and relax.
second year coming here hopefully 3 years in a row

Thanks for the review Bob. We'd love to have you back for 2024. When you know the dates you'd like, let us know. When we reset the calendar for 2024 we'll leave the last week of May blocked off until Nov. 1 2023. That should give you enough time to figure out your schedule without having to drop any money to lock your dates in any sooner than necessary. If we don't hear from you by Nov. 1 2023 then we'll open up that time slot normally for general booking. Hope this makes sense. Be well.

The property was exactly as advertised. Very well equipped and clean. Liked the washing machine and dryer, and the air conditioner. I had some trouble getting the code to get into the cottage, but that was probably my fault.
My partner and I had a great time spending a week at the cottage. All the amenities we needed to get by for the week were provided which was a massive boon. We did have a small hiccup during the check in process, but that was quickly fixed. We both loved how quiet and secluded the place was while still being in a perfect spot to access all the major towns along the lake. Overall, it was an amazing stay.
I have no complaints, yes the bathroom is small (maybe tiny), but that's low on my list (I hopefully don't have to spend too much time in there). I loved getting up in the morning, sitting out on the porch with a cup of tea listening to the Loons. Nice and secluded. And the neighborhood was so friendly. Can't wait to go back. Thank you so much Phil and Melissa
Wonderful stay in a cozy cottage in a spectacular location! So impressed at how functional it was as well as cute. We wanted for nothing. There was a little hiccup with the code to get in but Phil answered right away and gave it to us. Oh, and the bed was more comfortable than any bed I have slept in away from home! We also truly enjoyed the association beach. We had it all to ourselves. We saw stunning sunrises and loved sitting out on the porch drinking coffee in the am listening to the loons. Thank you fir a perfect stay!
Great little area.. stayed for a week .. only challenge was the shower.. it wasn't a surprise tho.. was informed b4 booking... Great place overall.. 1 hour from the ocean and 2 from the highest point in the Northeast . Would recommend

We loved the cabin. It was perfect for the 2 of us. And the coffee maker was the best little thing. The coffee was always hot. The bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the beach bag with the towels already in it and the cooler ready to go.But most of all is in attention we received from the Host. My hubby left his medication there and they went way out of there to get them back to us. Thank you for a GREAT vacation. Hopefully we can return someday ♥️
The camp is a cute rustic cabin. The bathroom is very tiny but we did manage. We walked each day. Only used the beach once, but it was very nice. I wish there had been more dish towels & dish cloth, as it would have been easier to keep a clean one available. Also, I would suggest you get the gas stove checked. I have used them in the past & feel it is not working correctly. Mrs. Brooks
Relaxing, retro cottage in quiet neighborhood with a nice screened in porch. Although not waterfront, makes a very comfortable and efficient home base for the many attractions in the Lakes Region. It is well off the main road and is very dark at night. Bed is very comfortable, and kitchen has everything you would need. Bathroom is very small and could be a challenge for people with mobility issues. Best suited for an active couple's get-away looking for a quiet and clean place to stay while visiting the area. There is an association beach available @1/4 mile away. It is a moderate walk with hills or a short drive. Hats off to Phil and Melissa for offering such a great value for the area.

The cabin was very clean and quiet area. We were coming from Florida to enjoy the fall season. The only thing we can think of that would have been different or added, would be having better heat source. I’m sure if we asked they could have given us more then one space heater. Overall it was a GREAT Experience…..
We were overwhelmed that all descriptions we read and heard off basically where overachieved. What a nice spot at the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. We visited family in the area who came over to pick us up and they also where absolutely positive about what they saw. Can definitely recommend the cottage plus Phil and Melissa as hosts.
Phil and Melissa, We loved staying at your rustic cabin. It was just the right experience for us as we concluded the stressful and exhausting process of moving out of our horse farm property awaiting our move to our new retirement condo. Thanks so much for the opportunity! Susan and Jim Donatelli
We absolutely loved this beautiful cottage! It was exactly what we were looking for! Relaxing & peaceful in a friendly neighborhood with all the views! We enjoyed floating and hanging at the private beach & exploring the beautiful area of Alton Bay! Everything is conveniently located within a short drive & you don't have to deal with the crazy tourist price markup! The hiking trails are all around & we loved being able to grill & then enjoy dinner overlooking the lake. Its hard to tell in the picture but you can see the lake from the porch & outside the window. Amazing to wake up to & sit and have your coffee taking in that fresh air! Melissa & Phil were wonderful & friendly! This is the perfect hidden gem! We look forward to going back next year!
The cabin was well suited for 2 people. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, as others mentioned. But it was workable. The screen porch was pleasant and provided wonderful breezes and cross ventilation. The cabin is between Alton Bay and Wolfeboro, both great towns to explore. It is convenient to a good grocery store, too. The neighborhood beach is about a 10 minute walk from the cabin - very handy. We had a great time hiking, swimming, boating, and exploring the lake region.
