Luxury Condominium Next Door to the Ritz Carlton

Ocean Place is located on beautiful Amelia Island which boasts some of the most beautiful beaches and golf courses in Florida. Ocean Place at Summer Beach is one of the most beautiful properties on the island and is located in the exclusive gated community of Summer Beach Resort right next door to the world-renowned Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Hotel and Spa. At the Ritz, you may enjoy fine dining, spa treatments, tennis, golf and shopping.

This beautiful two bedroom, two bath, 5th floor condominium is located directly on the beach and provides spectacular views and incredible sunrises. This condominium recently had a total renovation. Our condo truly does feel like a second home rather than 'rental condo', because we want our guest to feel like they are at home. Sleep with the doors open and listen to the crashing waves and see the moon from your bed. Then arise in the morning to the most beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. You can sit out on the deck, and while having your morning coffee, watch the dolphins and sea gulls having their morning breakfast behind the shrimp boats.

Downtown in Fernandina, you will find the oldest seaport in the U.S. which has a rich heritage and has been under eight different flags. My family loves to stroll around downtown, especially at night among the lighted trees and visit the quaint shops and wonderful restaurants. Especially fun, is a horse and buggy ride tour of historic Fernandina. Additionally, there are jet skis, para-sails, and inland/offshore fishing charters available for hire. A short ferry ride can take you to beautiful Cumberland Island, the only national sea shore on the East Coast. We love knowing that out guests are here making memories to last a lifetime.

Great stay with a beautiful view of the ocean. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the amount of construction going on around the buildings and one pool was closed off.

Absolutely Perfect Beachfront Getaway!We had the most amazing stay at this beachfront condo! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the stunning ocean views and how clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated the space was. The condo had everything we needed — a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi, and even beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards! The best part was being just steps away from the sand. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying coffee on the balcony each morning. Sunsets were magical, and the location made it easy to explore local restaurants and shops.The host was also incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — we’re already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend this little slice of paradise!

Our condo on Amelia was very clean, very well supplied, and exactly what the owner told us it was. We had a very good time, and Amelia Island is very charming, with many great restaurants.

Gorgeous condo!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Jan's condo and it was absolutely gorgeous! You couldn't beat the views from the private balcony. We will definitely be coming back to visit!

Very comfortable accommodations for a family stay. VRBO host is wonderful. View is great. Location convenient to the beach, restaurants, golf courses and shopping. Hard to ask for more.

Absolutely fabulous stay

The beach at Amelia Island is one of a kind. This property was the perfect complement. The view was beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the decor made you feel right at home. We would highly recommend and hope to return.

We've visited the area several years and have had the good fortune to have found this amazing condo with even more amazing owners. Exactly As Described - Lovely!

Everything that we thought this would be is everything it was. A great location just off the beach. The kitchen (with cutlery, cooking piece's) and living room ( with games, dvd's, cd's) was stocked very well. The design was lovely and felt like we were in our own home hideaway. We would come back again to such a lovely section of FL beach and use Jan's place again!!

Fun Georgia/Florida Game Weekend

We very much enjoyed our stay for the Georgia/Florida game weekend with our son and his fiancee. The unit was very nice and in good condition. Love the large master bathroom, large closets, full size washer and dryer and the kitchen was well equipped. We appreciated that the owner checked in with us to make sure everything was OK. We look forward to a return visit!

Another wonderful girlfriend getaway!

This is the second time we stayed at this property. Every detail is so well thought out by the owners. Very well stocked. Furnishing and bath and bed linens are lovely along with special soaps and hand creams. A very thoughtful bottle of wine greeted us when we arrived. Wonderful condo for a family vacation combined with meeting at the Ritz!

Great communication prior to arrival and everything was just as Jan said it would be when we arrived. I was there for a business conference at the Ritz but wanted to bring my family for some vacation time as well. The condo was a quick walk to the conference center at the Ritz and a great set-up on the beach for us and four middle-school kids. The condo was well-appointed with lots of nice extras which made our stay easier and nicer! Thanks for everything!

I’ve rented from VRBO in the past but this is the first time I’ve left an exceptional review. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful with our entire stay - from entering the condo to finding places to celebrate Christmas Eve our host was warmly responsive and knowledgeable with every detail. The condo was exactly what our family wanted - cozy, clean, comfortable with a fantastic view of the beach. We walked the beach, visited downtown Amelia Island, took a day trip to St. Augustine and enjoyed beautiful Florida! Thanks Jan for everything - you and Amelia Island are a treasure!

Amazing condo

Everything was perfect. We have been to this area for the past 7 years and this was the best condo we have ever stayed in. We will be returning for sure. The entire place was very very clean. Except for the rain ......!..!!!!

Great time. Even when there were downpours the day we arrived , we broke open a bottle of wine and prepared snacks and enjoyed the rain. Nice deep balcony Thank you for your attention to detail ... the back bedroom with two super comfy mattresses and great sheets sort of made me into a zombi! The property has great potential. I’m guessing it had just finished a busy summer season as we found it in need of repairs and a good cleaning. Broken shutters, broken door to the master bathroom, stained bathmats and bedding were all things we were not expecting based on the listing and the price. No one wants to begin their vacation taking photos to send to the owner so that they know you didn’t do the damage. The host was easy to reach and unaware of the condo’s problems.

We’ve stayed at this unit a number of times and it’s always a treat. There really isn’t a better location and being on the 5 th floor provides great views of sunrise and the beach. The property manager is very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended.

My husband's family has been vacationing on Amelia Island for about 40 years. After we got married and had children we began bringing our own family here on vacation. My children never wanted to go anywhere else. For several years we spent the entire month of July here. Our family's most treasured memories are of this Island. We decided that we wanted to own our own little piece of Heaven on Amelia Island, so we began looking around and finally settled on Ocean Place. We now have three grown boys, ages 25, 23, and 20 and they still love going to Amelia Island to vacation, even after all of these years. There really is something for all ages to enjoy. We hope that you will love our home away from home as much as we do and we look forward to sharing it with you.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely loved the location next to the Ritz because we have three boys, who all love to golf and the golf course is located right next door. We love the bike/walking paths located throughout Summer Beach where our children like to ride their bikes and skateboards. There is always someone available for the children to play with, however, the beaches are not crowded at all.

What makes this property unique

Our unit is located on the fifth floor in the middle of the building which offers complete unobstructed views of the ocean in all directions for as far as the eye can see. There are two pools at Ocean Place to enjoy so you don't feel as though you have to fight for a spot at the pool. The condominium community is gated which gives us peace of mind about our security. We have free WI-FI service so you can connect to the outside world IF YOU CHOOSE TO, three 46' HDTV televisions with cable and DVR service, with 300 channels included, and free long distance phone service to anywhere in the USA and Canada.
